Feel there could be a good chance of Isak having his minutes managed against West Ham. Wilson has a good record against them and could even get the start with Isak getting a run out off the bench.

Yeah it'll be interesting to see Howe's selection for that - caught between match rhythm and not trying to avoid injuries for Wembley. Went strong in the final league match before the League Cup final in 22/23.

Neale this might be a really stupid question but what was the thinking behind Bowen being included? Not that I’m complaining because I have him already, but he doesn’t get a mention in your article and I’ve a lovely benching headache.

Isak could come off the bench vs Brighton and then start vs West Ham

Isak should play. Newcastle can't afford to drop points if they want to qualify for the champions league.

Yeah, it's a write your own narrative on Newcastle's priorities in the next 4 games, in all comps.

Isak should play, but maybe not if it risks his fitness for the game at Wembley.

Of course that was a real sweat, although I was pretty confident he'd blank at Villa. I guess I'm playing a little differently in the sense that fixtures alone, in the complete absence of form, aren't enough. I did actually have a Salah, Haaland & Palmer draft ready to go but ditched Cole anyway

      3. Warby84

I’m talking myself out it, but it depends whether Palmer improves, think Haaland will start banging them in again, will probably try and lose Gakpo and possibly Trent as well.. If I keep Trent I would have to remove Isak..

        1. The Mentaculus
          • 4 Years

It is viable to have all 3, although maybe a bit tricky without WC. This was one of the drafts I had with 1.5m itb (would need to downgrade Gabriel/Gvardiol to afford Marmoush - Isak, or maybe go super cheap at the back to upgrade Dango/Nwaneri)

          Sels 3.9
          Gabriel Gvardiol Muñoz Huijsen 3.8
          Salah Palmer Kluivert Dango Nwaneri
          Haaland Marmoush Cunha

I don't agree with this adjusting of the bonus points the following day. End of the 90 should be final as it's the only fair way to do it. Games at the end of the GW like West Ham Leicester tonight can't be adjusted so there's an inconsistency.

Gakpo owners, are you selling ahead of GW28? I was reasonably confident he’d start last night and then benched against Southampton. I got the first part wrong so maybe I’ve got the second part wrong too and should keep? I guess it’s just a wait and see what happens v PSG?

If a 10 men United team can score 3 past Ipswich, I'm surely tripling up on Palace then. IPS(H), FH29, SOU(A), BRI(H), DGW32 for Palace. Have Mateta & Munoz. Dango to Sarr will be done this week.

Those who capped Palmer made the right decision and were extremely unlucky. 4 Chelsea goals with Palmer missing 2 easy chances and an xG of 1.3. Salah registered an xG of 0.15 and continued the trend of much lower returns at home. His last 6 returns at home have been 6, 8, 8, 7, 9, 5.

Alternatively you could say Salah has been on fire and palmer hasn’t so you should have captained Salah.
TBH it was always a tight call. I captained Salah because I thought he’d out score palmer but it could easily have gone the other way.

      Just looking at captaincy.

Noticed the number of tantrums on here has been at an all-time high this season. Been some really embarrassing posts from long-standing members about bench jam, chips (AM in particular), content creators, and captain picks recently.

It's obvious some feel like they have some divine right to beat 'the casuals' just because they comment here, so they spit their dummies out every time a decision doesn't go their way.

    Have Raya
    TAA Munoz Hall Hudjsen Myko
    Kluivert Dango Palmer Salah Mbumbo
    Gapko Mateta Isak

May play 11 For a hit or keeping rolling FT and decide GW30/31?

QF draw will help a lot, at least you make some more informed predictions of who is likely to blank in 34 once we have that.

I'm a little scared of going into 33/4 without FH tbh as I think it will entail serious compromises for one or the other. Think with a base of GK, 2 defenders & 4 mids, I'd be inclined just to take a -4 to get 2 forwards and play 9, assuming you will WC out of that shortly after

      1. Crunchie
        • Fantasy Football Scout Member

        Thanks Mentaculus.

FH was to not WC until 34 if it goes bad or 35, if it plays out well.

AM chip 31 to 33 or 35 to 37 give or take a week.

If Brighton will w of the next 3 Glasner has another bench potential but if we got to the semi final ourselves, we may do a Newcastle what they are doing now. But I don't think that is in Glasner Psyche.

Same with BB33 or or 36

I don't see a double for both Palace and Newcastle in GW33 , as Newcastle in gw2o EPL cup then gw3p midweek. So 31 and 3p is two games in a week so is gw3w and GW33. 6 fixtures in 3 weeks is a lot.

So it is probably AM chip 31 at the moment FH29 and see what I do.

I could do Palmer to Bowen and Dango up. Or find a way for Haaland GW31 by selling Palmer Trent and Mbeumo to Eze or Gordon depending on AM chip.

I hope that makes sense. As I still don't know what I am going to do yet.

I will WC if I do man city early BB33 FH34 and AM chip 3y/36 onwards but is my least favourite as gw34 FH team isn't great.

If palace and Newcastle don't double in 33 and play 34, unlikely but possible, one of the teams is highly probable. FHe4 may not be needed

    Thanks Mentaculus.

FH was to not WC until 34 if it goes bad or 35, if it plays out well.

I don't see a double for both Palace and Newcastle in GW33 , as Newcastle in gw29 EPL cup then gw30 midweek. So 30 and 31 is two games in a week so is gw32 and GW33. 6 fixtures in 3 weeks is a lot.

Interesting... I thought that 36 would be kept free in case either side makes it to the FA Cup final, but maybe you're right and there could be different rescheduling plans (re: 33/6) depending on whether the teams involved are in European competitions too. I haven't even looked at a specific FH34 team yet either so you're probably ahead of me in your planning here anyway

No I just looked at the dates of the Game weeks and thought well 30 and 31 are 2 in a week then you get 6 fixtures in 3 weeks.

The ITB makes it super quiet and then a frenzy of games.

I can't see especially if Palace and Newcastle getting through to the semi final, play in 33. Otherwise why did they move it to 32?

Which is why I personally think there will be more games than we think in GW36

Make a sense for you to do FH 28 and bring a players as Cunha, Matteta, Sarr, Munos, TAA, Cucu, Beto for this week?

    My team:
    Sels
    Gabriel - Aina- Kerkez - Mykolenko - O´Shea
    Salah - Bowen - Kluivert - Palmer - Mbeumo
    Isak - Wood - Wissa

    Thanks
