Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have four Gameweeks left to make or break their season, and the fixtures will ultimately have a big part to play.

Our latest Frisk of the Fixtures sees us assess the Premier League clubs with the strongest runs of matches – in theory, at least.

Our colour-coded Season Ticker is the primary source for this piece; using this tool as a Premium Member, you can sort by difficulty, rank by attacking and defensive potential or find budget rotation pairings.

You can even set your own difficulty ratings, should you disagree with our own.

GAMEWEEK 35-38: SEASON TICKER OVERVIEW

We now know that there will be no Double Gameweek 36/Blank Gameweek 37 for Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester City and Bournemouth.

There’s an outside chance that Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur may yet have a Double Gameweek to come, however, although Unai Emery’s side doesn’t want one.

Fixture difficulty remains the same regardless, so let’s take a look at which teams have the strongest runs of matches.

MANCHESTER CITY

Man City have a kind fixture list in Gameweeks 35 to 38.

They are also attempting to secure UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualification, so motivation shouldn’t be an issue for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Given the schedule, they look well placed to secure that UCL spot.

City host Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth on either side of a trip to already-relegated Southampton. All of those teams are bottom-half material for expected goals conceded (xGC) since the turn of the year.

Their season then concludes against a Fulham side who have struggled for consistency of late.

From a Fantasy perspective, the only downside to City’s schedule is the FA Cup final, particularly if the Bournemouth clash ends up preceding next month’s trip to Wembley.

City, who went unbeaten through April in all competitions, have several assets who merit attention, with Josko Gvardiol (£6.3m) and Omar Marmoush (£7.6m) undoubtedly the pick of the bunch.

Gvardiol has recently been deployed at centre-half, curbing his attacking instincts, but he still carries a threat at set pieces, having nodded in Marmoush’s corner to double the Cityzens’ lead against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Marmoush, meanwhile, has produced four attacking returns in his last six matches.

Also, a quick word on Erling Haaland (£14.8m). @FPLMaineRoad has reported the Norwegian is back in training as of Saturday, although it remains to be see how long it is before he’s back up to speed.

BRENTFORD

Brentford’s immediate fixtures carry appeal, with games against Manchester United and already-relegated Ipswich Town.

Ruben Amorim’s men have UEFA Europa League semi-finals on either side of Gameweek 35, so it’s highly likely we’ll see a rotated team at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday.

Then it’s Ipswich, who have failed to keep a clean sheet since December.

Both clashes carry significant appeal for Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) and Yoane Wissa (£6.6m). The duo have registered a combined 33 Premier League goals this season. They also have the fifth and sixth best rates of expected goal involvement (xGI) respectively.

Fulham and Wolves could prove trickier, but with Thomas Frank’s side still in contention for European qualification, it’s all to play for, at least for now.

Defensively, Mark Flekken (£4.4m) and Nathan Collins (£4.5m) are the two standout picks. The latter has served up eight attacking returns over the season, with two goals and six assists.

EVERTON

Everton are fourth on our Season Ticker in Gameweeks 35 to 38.

But in terms of clean sheet potential, the Toffees’ defence looks to have the best next three fixtures in the division.

Ipswich and Southampton both visit Goodison Park, and without stating the obvious, neither pose much of a threat.

Jordan Pickford (£5.1m) and Jake O’Brien (£4.5m) immediately stand out, then.

Pickford is the second-highest scoring goalkeeper in FPL this season, thanks to 10 clean sheets and 22 save points, while O’Brien was deployed at centre-half on Saturday and carries a threat from set pieces.

The loss of James Tarkowski (£4.9m) to injury is, of course, a blow, but there is still enough quality in this Everton backline to deliver.

Further forward, it gets much trickier, with none of the strikers particularly secure for minutes. Dwight McNeil (£5.1m), meanwhile, is still yet to start a match since returning from injury, arguably leaving Abdoulaye Doucoure (£5.1m) as the best bet in the middle of the park.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Nottingham Forest can move back up to third on Thursday, provided they can beat Brentford at the City Ground.

Fixtures against Leicester City and West Ham United follow, two of the most out-of-form sides in the division.

Above image from SoccerSTATS

In addition, there is a trip to a Crystal Palace side who have shipped 12 goals across their previous four league outings.

The toughest match, at least on paper, is therefore a potentially seismic clash with Chelsea in Gameweek 38, which could be a UCL decider.

The issue for Forest is that their defensive unit has faltered recently, having kept just one clean sheet in their last five matches. To counter that, however, there is clear shut-out potential against Leicester and West Ham, who both rank among the worst four teams for xG in 2025.

With Ola Aina (£5.2m) currently sidelined, Matz Sels (£5.1m) and Nikola Milenkovic (£5.2m) could be decent pickups, with Neco Williams (£4.5m) an option for those with less budget to splurge.

Further forward, Chris Wood (£7.0m) is the clear standout, with 19 goals across 30 Premier League starts this season.

WEST HAM UNITED

West Ham United have a decent run in the next two Gameweeks, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United prioritising UEFA Europa League semi-finals.

It should ensure a degree of rotation, particularly this weekend’s clash against Spurs.

There is a trip to Ipswich to look forward to on the final day of the season, too.

Crucially, all three of those sides are in the bottom seven for xGC since the turn of the year, having conceded a combined 90 goals between them.

While the Hammers have struggled in attack under Graham Potter, Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m) has served up eight attacking returns in 11 appearances since returning from injury, averaging 5.8 points per match.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.4m) has caught the eye, too, having created four big chances in 2025 – only Pedro Porro (£5.3m), Rayan Ait-Nouri (£5.0m) and Daniel Munoz (£5.3m) have registered more among defenders.

ALSO CONSIDER

Ipswich and Leicester are hard to get excited about, but both enjoy decent-ish four-match runs to finish the season.

The defences are best avoided, but if you are tempted by a low-owned attacker, Julio Enciso (£5.4m), Liam Delap (£5.6m) and Jamie Vardy (£5.3m) probably carry the most potential.

Enciso has three attacking returns in his last five matches, despite facing a tricky run of opponents.

Finally, Aston Villa have home clashes with Fulham and Bournemouth coming up, who themselves are chasing European qualification.

However, Unai Emery’s side face Tottenham in Gameweek 37, who could have a UEFA Europa League final a few days later. Manchester United may have a hangover in Gameweek 38, too.

With Marcus Rashford (£6.7m) potentially out injured for the season, Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) minutes now look much more secure.

I just don't see this game being moved to 36. Makes zero sense for Palace as they would play the Sunday and then the Wednesday before the final on Saturday so surely this is moved to after the final instead in 37.

What to do with Palace assets irrespective of double/blank announcements?

Naturally their mind will be on the FA cup final surely?

I can do Sarr to Mbuemo this week rather than Saka. Hide Saka on my bench until 38 for the Soton game. Thoughts?

    1. Conners
      • 6 Years

      The way I see it:

      Munoz is a hold.

Sarr could be sold, but I'm planning on keeping as he's a decent bench option for the final GWs.

Mateta is a sell - (Wissa/Wood/Cunha all better options)

Watkins could be good, I'd forgotten about him.

Cunha has the form both personally and team wise, my only concern with him is that he looks all but out of wolves.
I don’t think them playing him advertises what he can do anymore than the season already has, so is there the potential to start trying out the other players that will stay in anticipation of next year?

Watkins for me - Villa’s last remaining striker so should play all the remaining games.
Small chance of penalties (regardless of his record).
Decent enough fixtures, particularly with the teams left in/imminently out of Europe.
Motivation - both for the teams left and also personally if he puts himself in the window for a move.

Yep leaning toward Watkins based on the above. Could always revisit one of the other forwards as my other two strikers are Isak and Marmoush.

Most likely to bin Marmoush if Haaland is ready to start going forward.

Late wildcard for me. BB next week too in 36!
Have moved on Areola, Martinez, Greaves, Palmer, Beto, Strand Larsen so far... 1.2m ITB to react to Robinson news for a replacement although at the moment I like having the money spare as I can go back to Saka/Palmer in one move if needed. So may keep/may swap for Kiwior?

    Flekken/Sa
    Gvardiol RAN Robinson Burn Williams
    Salah KdB Mbuemo Trossard Rogers
    Isak Marmoush Cunha

    GW36 BB will therefore be;

    Flekken v Ips
    Rogers v Bmouth
    Burn v Chels
    Williams v Leic

About the best I can make of it.

50pts behind in ML. Teams very similar.

Should I take hits to try and get more differentials or stick to free transfers and hope differential captain choice pays off?

Hits put you further behind - I'd just use FTs and captaincy to get differentials for now, if that is feasible.

      1. Kdobienufc
          7 months, 10 days ago

Not the case at all, took a 8 point hit in GW 11 and ended up inside top 105k for game week points would have been well down in the millions otherwise. Any of the players I picked this week on free hit bar 2 would have got me better points even with a -4 for that position. Fixtures have a massive part to play of course. If you have someone playing man city, Liverpool arsenal for example and can get someone else playing the relegated teams it can easily pay off. Going differntial captain can be just as risky

            • 10 Years
            7 months, 10 days ago

50 points behind with 4 weeks to go there needs to be some element of risk for sure - I'd personally rather do it in a more controlled manner than taking lots of hits and going "all in" on many differentials that are on paper worse options and give you an even bigger gap to make up before a ball is kicked. You are right of course re opportunities with fixtures etc, but i am assuming that their similar teams are in a decent shape, and fixtures/options with obvious upside potential generally suck this week.

            1. Kdobienufc
                7 months, 10 days ago

Differential and a 4 point hit could work well, could turn out terrible lol. Guess it depends on ML finishing position. I'm top in all mine except one which funnily enough is a winner takes all (25 man league). 25 points behind but im the only one with AM left so will be close. If your playing for second third or whatever maybe its better to play safe and just finish second or third rather than risk losing more positions going too risky to catch first.

A 4 point hit on mbeumo to get rid of savinho will most likely yield more points over the last 4 games so it is very team dependent as well as ML payout dependent. If it's just for bragging rights that's another story

Kind of a disaster of a week. Doubled my rank from 17K > 33K. No Cunha has really sunk me and the GW variance was so much in favor of FH. I have 3 players left but unless Brentford score a hatful against Forest I'm not coming out of this ahead.

The template defense of Trippier, Ait-Nouri, Sessegnon all getting double digits is ridiculous.

The good news for me is that my transfers in GW34 are looking good. Brought in Ait-Nouri, Bowen, Mbeumo and Wissa who look like really strong picks for the rest of the season.

Considering captaining Mbeumo this week vs United. Tough choice for captain this week. Isak is bus captain for now but also thinking about Bowen.

Last year I did and FH in 29 which was a disaster. So no, it's just variance. Lucky for FHers this week.

yet another selective and convenient excuse of luck or variance for a bad gameweek. Cunha , a Brazilian international, up against im my eyes one of the worst teams ive ever seen in the prem league and already down and unable to buy a goal, ditto ait nouri the most attacking defender in the game trippier up against one of the worst sides at defending crosses and corners in the league and thats all he does is cross. if you take into account those games on their own anf those teams weaknesses there is no "variance"

I bought Ait-Nouri this week. I was also super close to buying Cunha for a 1 week punt but decided to go for Wissa instead because he was better for my long term plans.

On a FH there is huge variance because it's 1 GW. It is absolutely variance over one GW.

Sessegnon scoring a 9 point goal in the 96th min was also extremely lucky. On a week where lots of active managers are buying him. You can't convince me that isn't huge positive variance.

I see what you're saying Camzy I think. Individually we would expect Ran and Cunha to do well against Leicester, Trips to do well against Ipswich and Sessignon well Vs Saints
The variance part for me comes in when they all do well at the same time. If just one of them lot didn't return it would make a difference, but the whole lot at the same time...It's like the jackpot!

Yeah correct. If one of those 3 defenders hauled it would not be a surprise. But all 3 of them together getting double digits in the same week when managers would otherwise have had none of them is extremely positive variance.

Conversely, if all 3 had blanked for 1 or 2 pointers that would have been extremely negative variance but also quite possible considering Leicester had a pen saved and Southampton did in fact score.

It was a jackpot of a FH. And the FH is real proof that over one GW it's very high variance. Look at BGW29 last year where most people FH. It was a disaster across the board.

I remember GW29 last year, I got a GW rank of about 500 on my FH with triple Fulham Vs Spurs and captain Wood 😀
I can safely say that was definitely variance and not skill though!

              Not considering Salah vs Chelsea?
He is chasing his own records (said himself), and I, as a Chelsea fan, am not buying into "Chelsea tightened up defensively" narrative. We just played bad teams. And now are playing PL champions.

Chelsea are objectively a decent defense. The numbers support that and they're at home. Without title motivation, I think there are better choices tbh.

Would rather go Mbeumo, Isak or Bowen at this time.

He's been chasing his records since they played southampton where he got 2 pens. 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 prem games since against 4 of the bottom 6 teams. Chasing his records or not won't make the difference

You should look at Blank Gameweeks 29 and 34 together when assessing which was the best time to play your Free Hit.

And as in all Gameweeks, success or failure depends on a combination of luck and skill.

GWs surrounding those is a big factor. WC30 was popular so FH29 less so. I used 4 FTs in 29 and scored 93, FH in 34 and got 103.

Identical team to mine. Which city player are you planning to get rid of for Pep, and who are you planning to bring in? Assuming 36/37 are doubles and blank GWs I'm thinking either Dias to Ran, or Marmoush to Cunha. The former is probably better this GW (and bench RAN), the later next GW so you haven't got Cunha playing against City defender/defenders.

I'd keep the 3 City players and use AM on Moyes or Pereira. But if you are set on Pep, I'd sell Dias and play it 36-38.

35 IMO, also doing the same. Wolves may be on on a 6 game win streak but they've played 6 of the bottom 7. Expect am easy win for man city albeit probably only by a goal or two

depends on evanilson and robinson news for gw 36 as i still have fabianski and greaves to sort out before gw 36 so doing minus 8 is not worth it IMO

At the moment I'm thinking 36. Don't like 37 due to FA Cup Final and 38 is a lottery who even starts.

So 35 or 36 is best imo although entirely team dependant to which one is better.

                C) AM chip on Moyes or wait for Pereira next week? (locked out of Pep and no interest in Frank)

                  A for Mbeumo IMO

Slim pickings for AM but Moyes could a decent shout if you want one to keep throughout the 3 weeks with those fix
