I compare my fantasy football ability to finding my bedroom in the dark: I roughly know where I am going and how I want to get there, but it\\\'s going to take a long time and a lot of stubbed toes in the process.

  1. How Robertson broke an FPL record and whether he can do it again 3 days, 7 hours ago

Loved him his season, he was so bonus point heavy that it helped with the early start. Pending fixtures and signings I do think trent is likely the better option thanks to attacking potential, but would not be averse to the double up of those two at all. » Read

  2. Defender of the Year Alexander-Arnold could break Robertson record 4 days, 16 hours ago

That’s a really good way of putting it - it’s just about keeping essentially a second string of players happy when they are good enough to start for 90% of others. » Read

None of this helps fantasy however, unless TAA plays in midfield and is still classed as a defender! » Read

  4. Defender of the Year Alexander-Arnold could break Robertson record 4 days, 17 hours ago

It’s a shame that city pipped, as Berb has stated if Liverpool had won, then a bit of depth would be the only real ask. Goalkeeper is sorted, pending Mignolet as a backup, may need to dip or look at the academy if not. Lovren needs to go, so a young centre half or a good backup would be useful, as good as Matip is, I’d prefer Gomez and VVD alongside. De Ligt is a pipe dream, he’s off to Barca surely. I actually think a pure right back could be a bit of a coup - TAA is a midfielder at heart and could push further upfield, removing the need for reinforcements there if Lallana leaves. That said, an attacking midfielder of Brandt or Haiverts potential and quality wouldn’t go amiss. A left back as backup for Robertson is a must. How he got through this season without tearing a muscle is impressive considering his work rate. Up front, a goal scoring winger of proven quality would assist - competition up front, rotation, no drop in quality, plus the players would still get gam… » Read

  6. The lessons learned from 2018/19's Midfielders of the Year candidates 5 days, 17 hours ago

Zinchenko has played well so I don’t think a new left back is an absolute priority. Another centre half could be useful with Vinny and Otamendi potentially off - Toby A for 25 million anyone? Foden can fill the gap Withy silva, as can his namesake. Knowing city, potentially another wide forward? » Read

  7. The lessons learned from 2018/19's Defenders of the Year candidates 8 days, 10 hours ago

Oh absolutely, I think every year someone brings up playing heavy defence, it’s a waste of time until we have fixtures and prices. That said, I always go crawling back to 3 at the back, as eluded to there something more fun about goals and assists then clean sheets. First time in a while however where the defenders have smashed it so much. » Read

I’ve had some success with 4 at the back, but a bit reticent to commit completely. That said, if the fixtures are there, I’d likely be looking at Trent (potential to be slightly cheaper then Virgil and Robbo) Digne, and maybe Robertson, with a rotation 4th and 5th. » Read

  9. How the FFScout captain poll winners performed this season 10 days, 16 hours ago

The Brighton defenders! Although Ryan provided a few cheeky saves. I always get drawn in to double gameweeks, so that’s an issue! Son has been awful for me, he’s always the players that I’m late to pick up on and never at the right time. » Read

  10. How the Fantasy Premier League Cup was won 11 days, 6 hours ago

Cardiff had the feel of a championship team that bought championship players. Camarasa will be off. Ether idle did a good job and I can see a team with an ageing goalkeeper grabbing him. Josh amurphy off to a Bournemouth or a Southampton maybe? But I think a lot will be retained. Huddersfield will lose bits and pieces here and there. Billing looks like he has potential, a bit similar to a Dembele for spurs in some ways. Lossl off to Germany but he’s not been great. Kongolo has got potential for a club however. Grant to stay to try and bring them back up. Mooy will stick around I think, tidy enough player. Fulham to get torn apart however, Mitro off, he still has potential. Babel gone, Chambers loan return. Rico gone. Think Cairny will stay as captain. Sess might just want game time which he is guarenteed at a level he knows, so not convinced he will leave. » Read

Lost my mine league due to Cardiff double up of Etheridge and Peltier on a bench boost! Smooth at least was Son and Lacazette our for Sterling and Perez. Captained mane, Trent and Robertson did a treat! » Read

  12. Aguero and Sterling blank as City defenders rack up more FPL points 18 days, 16 hours ago

Smooth, transferred in Hazard (C) TAA and Bench fodder for Vert and KDB (injuries) and JWP. Rough however, my score total was 51, 32 of those were those transfers. Boly was the night only other scorer in my team. » Read
