In all my seasons of playing FPL, I think I've only used a free transfer to make an unforced Goalkeeper transfer once. Ironically, that was when I took the overperforming Pope out a few seasons ago, and brought in Pickford. Pope went on to destroy Pickford and it cost me somewhere between 40-50 points over the rest of the season. Nasty. But with half a season gone, I am getting itchy with Pope again. I expected him to be the standout Goalkeeper this year and while he has done okay - he's not doing great in terms of saves or bonus - despite keeping 7 clean sheets, only 1 less than Leicester who have the most this season. My attentions are being drawn to Ryan, and the newly returned Fabianski, who has a DGW on the horizon. But is is really worth a transfer to take a goalkeeper out? Pope is doing alright, and really, the goalkeeper position is the one you don't really want to be chopping and changing. A set and forget (or two rotating goalkeepers) is the best bet, and the idea of u… » Read

Was between him and Ings. Thought both Chelsea and City would struggle tbh so went with the man in crazy form Really was 50/50 debated it right up until the last minute, but have to say I was swayed by the fear of a highly owned Ings getting a good score. » Read

  7. How I've improved my FPL rank after a slow start 25 days, 19 hours ago

I agree it’s a lot of luck; but injuries allow you to make decisions and I benefitted from Abraham’s injury. Making moves and being brave when fixtures turn is also a way if making up ground I’ve bought Digne in, hoping my knowledge of Ancelottis tactics and Everton’s much better defensive solidarity recently means points. If it works, I don’t think that will be all down to luck » Read

Thanks buddy. He definitely misses one of the next couple of games, but he’s in great form and I’d hold. Not that many strikers performing and he’s got as good a chance as any of driveling when he plays given his form » Read

Anyone who bought Danny Ings in for Abraham in GW 14 must be ecstatic with his returns since then. However, the fixtures are about to turn nasty. Chelsea (a) Crystal Palace (H) Tottenham (H) Leicester (a) Wolves (H) Only 2 wins at home this season (compared to 3 wins away from home) shows that they are struggling at St.Mary's, with that 9-0 loss to Leicester sounding the alarm bells. But, does a difficult fixture list mean anything to Danny Ings who has already scored against Liverpool, Arsenal, Wolves, Chelsea and Tottenham this season? So I guess the question is: Owners: Are you keeping him? Or is now the time to sell for another striker? Non-Owners: Are you going to continue to avoid him? Or will you be bringing him in and backing him to score more points. As an owner, I was all set to sell and was even debating a -4 to get Jiminez in for the Norwich game. Now, I'm going to keep and hope for the best. With his form, I think he'll still grab a couple of goals over the next… » Read
