I guess it could even happen in GW30 if the Champions League fixtures get cancelled. Guess it's tricky to organise at short notice, though. » Read

  9. Man City v Arsenal postponed as 'precaution' amid coronavirus fears 19 days, 9 mins ago

Um, no. 2 reasons why it's worse than normal flu. First, it's new so no-one has immunity and so it spreads more quickly and more thoroughly through the population (immune people don't spread flu). Second, the death rate for Covid-19 is currently around 3.5% (around 4,000 deaths from 116k cases worldwide though this varies greatly with age and underlying health issues) while the estimated death rate from flu is around 0.1% (based on the US figures of around 45 million cases a year, 61,000 deaths). Another point is that we have an effective vaccine against most forms of flu which can be given to high-risk groups, but nothing yet for Covid-19. For most healthy people it will probably be no worse than flu, for sure, but the overall impact could be pretty bad. The 1918-1920 Spanish Flu pandemic infected around a third of the global population and killed somewhere around 50 million (maybe more). While that disease was probably much more dangerous than Covid-19, it too was just 'a flu var… » Read

Comments like this always seem odd to me. This is a site specifically to discuss fantasy football and this event represents some pretty bad luck in that context so not a surprise it gets talked about here. I'm seeing more gallows humour than depression.... » Read

  11. A rare off-day for Calvert-Lewin but Everton defence in poor form for Liverpool test 20 days, 1 hour ago

It's a little more complicated than that. GW 34 has a midweek slot. So any missed fixtures from 31 or 28 could go there. However, any team still in the FA cup 1/4 finals on the GW34 weekend (or their opponents) may have that GW 34 match played then so their GW31 blank may move out to GW37 (or another week). » Read

  13. Wolves defensive assets deliver again despite Jota and Jiménez blank 20 days, 20 hours ago

Villa and SHU have 1 DGW to come because of their missed fixture in GW28. CHE, MCI, LEI, BHA, MNU, SHU, NEW, AVL, NOR, EVE, SOU, ARS will all have one because they will blank in GW31. So SHU and AVL have 2 DGWs to come. All the other teams above will have (at least) 1. » Read

About that, I reckon. 3 LIV, 3 Wolves. Pope, Burnley Def maybe. Antonio, perhaps from WH. It's a risk to fill up with rubbish players for just that one week. Might score more by holding better players through the blank. » Read

I've taken -4 to bring in Doherty and Saka (for Lascelles and Traore). Already have Auba! I think the move for Doherty could wait another week if you don't want the -8 - the 3 DEFs you're playing could do well this week. » Read

Sarr and Doherty both feel like upgrades over Traore and Saiss. Auba over Vardy, though. I'd prefer a cheaper fwd than Vardy with the other 2 and upgrade something else. Jota/Jimi/DCL all feel better bets than Vardy right now, but I guess he could hit form anytime. » Read
