This has not been a good Auba audition for me. Still have a FT left, but is it worth spending it on him/Laca to have a decent captaincy option? Is this team strong enough for the GW, or should I transfer Rich to someone too?Fab Doherty AWB Robbo Lascelles Ando Salah Son Pogba Rashford JimenezButton Schindler Kun* Rich* » Read

  4. Sane scores off the bench as City continue to rack up goals ahead of blank 1 day, 16 hours ago

Tbh given your rank safety first (i.e Laca) might be the best option in this instance. For me I have some ground to make up on the top 10k after my disastrous festive period, so am inclined to take a (qualified) gamble on Auba. » Read

  5. Sane scores off the bench as City continue to rack up goals ahead of blank 1 day, 16 hours ago

Yep, will always be a gamble. My gut feeling is Emery doesn't have a strong enough squad and isn't in a strong enough position personally to afford to bench his best striker. Fingers crossed he's off at 70 tonight after a brace with Arsenal 5 up anyway. » Read

It will probably be a very unscientific case of the eye test for me. If Auba looks good tonight, I'd trust him to take that into the SOT game. What makes me lean towards him over Laca is Laca (while showing some consistency recently) just doesn't feel like a captaincy option, and my lack of those this GW is one of the main drivers behind this transfer. » Read

I think he's a classic never bench, never captain player. Points are unpredictable. » Read

I may do one next GW (if I decide to hokey cokey Kun & Auba). That will likely be it. » Read

He's been in Liverpool nearly 3 years, can he not sort out his own secure living quarters on his money (or the odd minder to watch it while he's away)? » Read

Wouldn't worry too much if he is as he doesn't haul away from home anyway & the other premium forwards all have uninspiring fixtures in 29 (unless you want to take a chance on Higuain). » Read

  13. FPL chip strategies for the Blank and Double Gameweeks ahead 3 days, 17 hours ago

Probably keep for now as tbh I don't like any of the options in the same price bracket (already have Ando). Will still ditch Digne though. » Read

  14. FPL chip strategies for the Blank and Double Gameweeks ahead 3 days, 20 hours ago

Strategy 1. I currently have 7 who play in 31 with 2 FTs still to use this GW, so making an 11 for that week would be fairly easy. However, this includes dead weight such as Rich, Digne & Schindler, and I have no desire to lose Pogba or Doherty for Leicester players, so my thinking is to get 8-9 good quality options out for 31 & keep the players I have value in.FH in 32 mainly because given the fixtures I'd strongly consider losing my expensive Pool assets to free up value on a strictly one-off basis. » Read

  15. FPL chip strategies for the Blank and Double Gameweeks ahead 3 days, 21 hours ago

I'm looking at FH in 32, and as such will certainly ditch Robbo (I don't see a CS vs Spurs) & possibly even Salah (it's a risk but I can see other premiums with a double outscoring him that GW). However losing Salah previously over the festive period destroyed my rank, so I won't be getting rid for any longer than 1 GW. » Read

  16. How Chelsea vs Man United could affect FPL schedule 4 days, 9 hours ago

So with Everton looking likely to play in 31 now, guessing I shouldn't be rushing to get rid of Digne & Rich now? Though I could maybe do Schindler > Lejeune this GW instead as realistically I'm not going to want to play Schindler in 31 or any other week. » Read

  17. Blank Gameweek 27 captaincy a tough decision for Fantasy managers 4 days, 13 hours ago

I am gonna wait and see how Auba looks on Thursday. Arsenal have been poor of late and I'm not sure Saints are as bad defensively as most of the teams he bullies. » Read

  18. Blank Gameweek 27 captaincy a tough decision for Fantasy managers 4 days, 14 hours ago

I have Son & Kun and don't see why I need to bin either before 31 at the earliest? Personally I don't want any other City or Spurs coverage as I feel the other Spurs options are meh for the price & City mids are a rotation nightmare. Chelsea I'm just not interested in before the doubles. » Read

  19. Eleven teams guaranteed a Double Gameweek as Palace progress in FA Cup 4 days, 17 hours ago

I don't really get the prevailing narrative that planning for 31 involves loading up on crap players. Liverpool have great fixtures, as to West Ham, Newcastle are as good a choice defensively as most over the next few weeks & there's Leicester too if you trust them. I can get 8-9 decent choices out for 31 with FTs and still carry Kun, Pogba, Rashford and the Wolves lads for the foreseeable. I'm pretty set on FH32. » Read
