Rates a lot of teams - rarely his own. Opinionated casual. Really quite good at fantasy county cricket but thats possibly irrelevant. More into ironing than irony

  1. Gray, Doucoure, Townsend: Everton's budget FPL mids compared after Norwich win 7 mins ago

4-2 for Palace Dunk has a superb record of getting sent off in this one so here's hoping 😉 . Duffy to pick up a couple of set piece goals (Sky) and Zaha (pleasure as it's his 400th) and Edouard (FPL) to get braces. » Read

Have Duffy here and quite happy with him Could lose his spot perhaps but Potter has been talking him up and I defo hope to hold him through to overhaul. Great enabler and he'll surely get a couple of goals. » Read

Pretty sure you'll find that the clean sheet belongs to Palace. 😉 It's one of fixtures that almost guarantees goals at both ends. Strange things happen in this one all the time. The 2-1 victory for Palace last season was hilariously bizarre. Two entries into the box and two worldies - from Mateta and Benteke of all people. Should have finished 4-0 to Brighton by rights. » Read

Not that solid defensively but they also have a world class keeper so I think that evens out. Thing with Rudiger is that bar 3 or possibly matches in a season his ceiling is 6 points as he doesn't get close to baps. TAA loves baps and one return from him can get him close to double digits. » Read

  5. Vardy's goals, Tielemans’ advanced role, Sarr and Saint-Maximin return again 1 hour, 27 mins ago

Like Vardy call Have a plan B non WC team where I have something analogous but just have Auba and TAA and 4.5 keeper. Pretty confident myself that Cancelo is going to be worth the odd benching this season over Dias. » Read

Any expectation that Everton defence will become more solid? Not looking at getting anyone in but they look a key team in 7 and 8 as one to hold attack against. Thinking here about Ron captaincy of course but also Benny in week 8 could be close to the chopping block on my scheme of things. Had expected them to be grittier in defence. » Read

Close but Gallagher if you're looking that far ahead imo Palace fixtures are decently better and he's very central to their attack. DCL back might improve Everton but equally rather suspect Edouard coming in (possibly post IB) will improve Palace equally. » Read

Went Gray last week and relatively happy with that as a likely midterm hold even if I'm down this week. But right now I think I might go Saka on the same basis. 4 home fixtures to come in next 6 including 2 absolutely prime ones. Sarr still the fun one to own of course. Just think it's a week too late now. » Read

Dubious myself - you're backing a one man attack really. After next week I'd describe Watford fixtures as awful not mixed. Class player no doubt but I'd prefer to back someone who's going to get support and/or has fixtures. » Read

Looks good but for the fact Liverpool have Watford in 8. Watford defence looks utter trash to me - can see a real pummeling in week 8. » Read

  11. Jimenez ends goal drought as Arsenal claim convincing north London derby win 4 hours, 28 mins ago

Fair 🙂 Though I think they're yet to face Newcastle and Leeds! Or even Watford who I suspect will end up conceding 60 plus. Using the Brighton game as a test case. » Read

I'll go against the grain here and suggest losing Torres for Sarr. Very dubious about Jota starting with Bobby back but think he'll get on the pitch anyway and he always has a chance off the bench. KdB and Foden makes Torres out feel highly likely too. That'd leave you starting Livra. I'd gamble on a Sarr return. » Read

  14. Raphinha injury update and Benrahma impresses: FPL notes from West Ham's win 4 hours, 43 mins ago

He looks really interesting The price is fascinating. What puts me off is he is almost oop really and the big returns came when KdB and Foden were out. Just think the balance of that attack may change a fair bit when those two are in harness. Nice call though no doubt » Read

  15. What Solskjaer said about United's penalty situation and Shaw/Maguire injuries 4 hours, 46 mins ago

Ah - the double up seems ambitious 🙂 It's a shame Leeds are so gash in defence they have such a great run. Guess if you duck Christensen then Semedo looks most likely. Personally wasn't at all impressed with their defence against Southampton and thought the cs was mostly about poor Southampton but he is getting into some great positions. » Read

Tierney? I suppose he's due to break at any moment but the fixture run is great. You could go Christensen but he won't get them all and you're relying on bench and possibility of occasional baps. » Read

Wilson back could almost improve him as there'd be someone to finish off the chances he creates. He returned in 2 of the 3 matches they started together. I wouldn't be put off Wilson being back at all if I was going ASM. » Read

Beginning to wonder if Shaw might not turn out to be one of those who's price is artificially preserved as happened last season with KdB iirc He's already lost 20% of his ownership and is still hanging on. Also imagine that a really significant part of his ownership will already be dead teams who won't of course be losing him. Loads will have already given up and he was entirely generic week 1. » Read

I'm guessing huge captain hauls are largely to blame Mo and Ron have gone 36 24 and 26 as really highly owned C choices in half the game weeks so far. Don't need to add much to that for a really high average. Others may have hit Kaku and Bruno hauls too. » Read
