  1. Fernandes back with a bang as Rashford and Martial underwhelm at Brighton 21 hours, 25 mins ago

Almost certainly slotted in the free midweek after that weekend, same with the other three games affected by the semis. » Read

  2. Are differentials always the most effective route to FPL success? 1 day, 16 hours ago

They looked so bad against Southampton. Hoofball never likely to succeed against Vestergaard and Bednarek, just as it didn't against Mee and Tarkowski. He himself was poor, spent much of the time of the deck. To mitigate, he had a later return to full training than others and might be still getting up to speed. And those three fixtures... one of the reasons Sarr is hanging on by his fingertips in my team. It's certainly not based on anything I've seen from them so far. » Read

The small sample size is of course a valid point but I don't think it's really misleading if I've repeatedly acknowledged it myself and stressed the limitations of it. Folk have been and continue to be interested in the effects of what these new conditions are having and, as I've said above, it's merely looking at any early trends and seeing if they continue over the weeks ahead. » Read

Yeah, very good point. Would like to see the actual ball-in-play minutes. » Read

  8. The best premium forwards for the FPL restart 15 days, 19 hours ago

Hi folks - as some of you will have seen, we've launched a new end-of-season FPL mini-league, with scoring starting from GW30+. We usually give out £300-worth of Amazon vouchers in our leagues and cups but this time we're donating the cash equivalent to the NHS. In lieu of that, we're instead giving away annual memberships to the top five managers in our 'FFScout Charity Shield' mini-league, the code of which is available via the link below. If you have already signed up to be a member for 2020/21, don't worry - we'll refund your payment if you finish in the top five. You can also donate money to the NHS via our JustGiving page (details in the article) if you so wish. https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/06/14/join-our-end-of-season-fpl-mini-league-and-help-raise-money-for-the-nhs/ » Read

  9. The 12 Double Gameweek 30+ players I plan to Bench Boost with 19 days, 20 hours ago

Jonny's back fit now, it looks like. Vinagre only in the starting XI "recently" because he was injured. I'm sure he'll get minutes, mind, with the five subs thing. » Read

  11. Recapping the best Liverpool players ahead of FPL restart 23 days, 13 hours ago

You can make unlimited transfers ahead of GW30+ and your second Wildcard (if it's still intact) can then be used from GW31+ onwards. » Read

  12. Fit-again Pulisic waiting to fully deliver on some impressive underlying stats 23 days, 22 hours ago

There's an FPL asset in there waiting to get out (so long as he keeps getting in and around the six-yard box, chances are the attacking returns will follow) - but yeah, not sure I fully trust him yet. » Read

  13. Recapping the best Chelsea players ahead of FPL restart 26 days, 13 hours ago

Yeah, he's on my watchlist. Got an article coming out on him on Monday - I think it's almost as much what happens off the field (Willian, Pedro, Hudson-Odoi) that determines whether I'll consider him at some point during the run-in. » Read

  14. Son's strong case as the best Spurs option for FPL restart 26 days, 21 hours ago

Take a breath and calm down. You harping on repeatedly about the whole thing isn't going to change our policy on only printing stuff when it's official - which of course, it has just become five minutes ago. » Read

6.5 points per match under Mourinho, too, despite some iffy individual and collective displays under the new regime this calendar year especially. As ever, points > performance (see also: Alonso, Marcos). » Read

  18. Son's strong case as the best Spurs option for FPL restart 26 days, 23 hours ago

Yeah, mentioned in the conclusion above that one of the main downsides to Son could be the manager, rather than the player. And yet his returns have actually gone up under Mourinho. » Read

I agree, performance-wise he's delivered quite a few stinkers. I think that makes the rate of FPL returns (18 in 21) all the more encouraging, the equivalent of a title-chasing side "winning when they're not playing well". » Read
