  1. How a single Gameweek Bench Boost went better than expected 2 days, 23 hours ago

Potter's a law unto himself, one of the hardest to second-guess regarding team selection. No injury reported as far I know and it's not uncommon for one of his players to be omitted from the matchday squad and then reappear the following week. He's basically now got at least four options at right-back - Schelotto, Montoya, Alzate and Lamptey - so security of starts will be even more of an issue now with Montoya. » Read

Not at all, not many conclusions to draw at this point. All utter conjecture at the end of the day, innit? I've built a career on it. » Read

The threshold for ten yellow cards is after 32 league fixtures (which may not necessarily be GW32, given likely postponements). After that, it raises to 15 until the end of the season. » Read

  16. Top 10k back Salah with the Gameweek 26 armband as Mane exodus continues 20 days, 13 hours ago

I'm actually agreeing with you that Fernandez is a) the better defender in real-life terms and b) carries more goal threat/bap-attraction. But the fella above asks if there is going to be a 10pt-difference over 5/7 games and I'm not sure there will be. Attacking returns from CBs are hard to second-guess in a short period of time, considering that even the best of them might get 5/6 goal/assists over the course of an entire season. » Read

  17. Top 10k back Salah with the Gameweek 26 armband as Mane exodus continues 20 days, 13 hours ago

Ha! Just saw your comment seconds after mine. Definitely agree he's our best CB right now although that doesn't necessarily translate into FPL returns (more blocks etc helps for bonus, of course). And I'm with you on Lascelles being hit and miss at times but that scarcely seems to matter to Bruce or Benitez before him, regarding selection. » Read

  18. Top 10k back Salah with the Gameweek 26 armband as Mane exodus continues 20 days, 13 hours ago

Not a massive amount, especially over a short period of time. Based on security of starts, Lascelles the most 'nailed' (rightly or wrongly) as the club captain and has started every match when available. Fernandez has strung together 16 starts in a row and looks the next most-secure but we've Schar and Lejeune waiting in the wings and I think it would only take a couple of iffy displays at the back for Bruce perhaps to switch things round (the likes of Clark, Dummett and Lejeune have all dipped in and out recently). Fernandez with the slightly better goal threat and bap-rate. » Read

  20. What the FA Cup replay results mean for the Blank Gameweek 31 picture 22 days, 20 hours ago

Generally nailed when fit but the only possible issue is that the FA Cup fifth round falls between GW28-29. ASM did his hamstring after playing three times in a week in GW14-16 and I think Bruce is wary of flogging him too much in case of a reoccurrence (he was on the bench v Oxford, for example). » Read
