Like I said, I'm not saying Liverpool won't score anyway. Just that you shouldn't expect the United defence to be as porous as they their recent form might suggest they'd be, as the likely dynamic of this game will shift play away from a lot of the defensive weaknesses we've seen recently. » Read

I think people may be over-emphasising how bad United are likely to be defensively against Liverpool. They've been woeful recently. But the main source of their defensive issues has been their inability to deal with defensive transition. Going into the game against West Ham they had been counter attacked more than any other team in the league and nothing I've seen from them since suggested that has stopped being their main problem defensively. However, against Liverpool the dynamic will be different as instead of facing a weaker team they're expected to dominate they'll be facing a stronger team they will likely park a bus against and counter. In that scenario their current main defensive frailty becomes less of an issue. Essentially they'll be taking the same approach that saw the grind out clean sheets against top opponents last season, with the same players as last season. Not saying they won't concede or that Salah won't score but a straight read that the current dynamic in t… » Read

  11. FPL Gameweek 9 injury and team news: Updates on Raphinha, Saka and more 5 days, 12 hours ago

"What if Lukaku is back next week" is a big if when he's taking up that much of your budget. With his form not having been great anyway, I'd sooner jump off now along with everybody else. Particularly as so many people were considering jumping off him in GW12 anyway. On the basis of solving your biggest problem first, your injured premium striker is the biggest problem unless you get strong information that he will only be out for one week. » Read

Worth a wildcard to switch from the first team to something like the second? Or just take a -4 and make a couple of changes? Sanchez (Bachmann) TAA, Dias, Rudiger (White, Livramento) Salah, Barnes, Benrahma, Raph (ESR) Lukaku, Antonio, Armstrong Raya (Foster) TAA, Cancelo, Dias, Rudiger (Livramento) Salah, Havertz, Raph, Mbeumo (4.5mid) Kane, Toney (Broja) » Read

If you were wildcarding would you rather: A) Pick one of Son/Kane now. B) Pick Havertz + Vardy now and upgrade one of them to Son/Kane in time for GW12 depending on which Spurs player looks better. » Read
