Eh, having watched every Chelsea game this season he isn't sitting *that* deep. Matic allows him to move forward a bit more and given his quality he will continue to score/assist throughout the season. Just my opinion though
I've been thinking this way too, as I've watched Fabregas play in that deep midfield role which seems now to be his chosen position by Mourinho. He'll continue to tick along with assists and points, but I also have my eyes on moving him on for a more explosive, in-form attacking player such as Walcott when fully fit. As you say, timing is everything.
