This week’s ScoutCast is a throwback – a return to the days when Granville moaned about his team of red flags and names like Robin van Persie and Yaya Toure dominated our thinking.

Granville and I slip into such subject matter like it’s a pair of old slippers, whilst assessing the Aguero fall-out, the Dzeko option, Ivanovic versus “Dave” Azpi and how I’ve modelled my Fantasy Football management style on Roy Hodgson.

We roll out the regulars and lament the demise of the ScoutCast team – eliminated in the opening round of our own cup competition. Some things never change.

    Got stuck on the bottom of last page, so sorry for the repost:

    Have to take my first hit of the season because of 4 suspensions + Aguero injury, so it will definitely be -4.

    Also got a little dilemma and would like some advice:

    A) Take another hit and do Chambers -> Ivanovic/Zabaleta. By doing this I also have a probable starter (Boyd) as backup on the bench if one of my players for some reason is not playing this GW.
    B) Start Boyd (SOT) and play with "no players" on the bench.

    I'm using my Aguero money to do Duff, Boyd & Eriksen -> Clichy, Ramsey & Mirallas.
    How does this team look? Balanced enough?

    Hi all.....I'm planning ahead for Xmas....
    I'm planning chambers for oshea next week (think chambers will play less now debuchy back and oshea reasonable fixtures.)
    this would free up cash for boxing day to allow
    Costa and Kane for dzeko and bony for minus 4......can't see Costa playing more than 1 of the Xmas games.....

    Do u think this would be a good move?

    agree with granville on costa. drogba is in better form and remy has looked sharp whenever he comes on. cannot see costa starting every game over xmas

    Team, I'm in a bit of a pickle... Have 1 FT and this mess:

    Forster / McCarthy

    Dummett / Naylor / *Chambers* / Azpilicueta / Caulker

    *Fabregas* / Sanchez / Siggy / Downing / Boyd

    *Aguero* / Welbeck / Bony

    Options I've considered include:

    1) Aguero, Fabregas, Downing -> Dzeko, Hazard, Yaya (-8)

    2) Aguero, Boyd -> Sakho/?Jovetic, Hazard (-4)

    3) Aguero -> Costa/Rooney/RVP

    4) Aguero, Welbeck -> Rooney/Costa, Dzeko

    Had a quick look at the city forums and their discussion on predicted lineups for the Leicester game. About 1/3 think Dzeko start, about 1/3 think Jovetic start and the final third think both will start.

    Hope that clears things up for everyone who is considering a city striker.
