Monitor – Christian Benteke

Christian Benteke had a tough time last season. Despite moving to Liverpool for £32.5 million from Aston Villa, the striker was cast aside by Jurgen Klopp in his effort to find a centre forward capable of bringing his gegenpressing approach to Merseyside.

However, Benteke has re-emerged on the radar of Fantasy managers following his move to Crystal Palace.

Having scored a textbook headed opener against Middlesbrough in Palace’s 2-1 win on Teesside, Benteke’s FPL price tag of 7.5 is likely to attract suitors drawn to his power in the air.

There are plenty reasons why that’s the case.

Although Liverpool seemed hesitant to use Benteke’s aerial strength to their advantage, Crystal Palace already appear to be building an attacking approach based around it. This suggests he could be on course to become an outstanding third striker option over the coming season.

Well, it's obvious that Hull will frustrate Arsenal. Is it wise to do Ozil to Nolito for a FT? I really want my city coverage since I have none & they look unstoppable currently with Pep the master Guardiola.

      Been thinking that all week.

Chelsea v Liverpool has goals written all over it. The"easy" fixtures don't always pan out to a hat full of goals.

Yeah, exactly. The BPL is the craziest, toughest, and most unpredictable league in the world. However, as hardcore fantasy managers we have to do our best to think deep and predict things.

Baines takes up a decent amount. Perhaps too early for RMT projections.

What's up? you can give it but you can't take it. If you're going to come on with the sole intention of winding people up don't be surprised if you get it back. The most embarrassing thing in football is glory hunters laughing at other clubs. You do yourself no favours.

    Knee-jerk questions of the night:

    1. Do you think the Utd match means their confidence will be low for the weekend and that perhaps Ibra is not longer the best captain choice (even though it's not his fault)?

As a Liverpool fan I think this is how Klopp will pick...

      Migs (Unless Karius is 100%)
      Clyle, Matip, Lovren, Hamez Milner

Wijnaldum (not a fan at all... would rather see Grujic), Hendo (again... same Can is unfit), Lallana

      Mane, Firmino, Couthino

Would rather see Sturridge instead of Couthino, but cant see Klopp playing him twice in a row, doesn't seem to favour him.

If he'd be your 5th mid yes, if he'd be your 4th mid no.

Deeney over Negredo for sure. Just from next week onwards

    My team is:

    Heaton, Jakupovic
    Valencia, Stones, McAuley, Friend, Amat
    Sanchez, Capoue, Barkley, Hazard, Townsend
    Ibrahimovic, Costa, Negrado

Really not sure what to do this week. I'm thinking Barkley out for Antonio. I can't really afford anything better without taking hits. Any suggestions?

For a 1 week punt it has to be Negredo -> Iheanacho

Also worth considering are Eriksen (super record against Sunderland who look as terrible as ever) and Sterling, who scored a hatrick against Bournemouth last season. And Harry Kane

Pogba in my opinion. You'll have more cash to play with.

    Foster Jaku

    Valencia Stones Kone Amat Targett

    Hazard Ozil Firmino Lamela Capoue

    Ibra Lukaku Benteke

    2 Questions:

    This week play -

    1. Amat away to Southampton
    2. Capoue AOA chip.

    Next week -

    A. Ibra Haz > Aguero Mane
    B. Lukaku Haz > Aguero Bolasie
    C. Benteke Ozil > Aguero 4.4 mid (play Capoue for next few weeks as 4th mid)
