Christian Benteke had a tough time last season. Despite moving to Liverpool for £32.5 million from Aston Villa, the striker was cast aside by Jurgen Klopp in his effort to find a centre forward capable of bringing his gegenpressing approach to Merseyside.

However, Benteke has re-emerged on the radar of Fantasy managers following his move to Crystal Palace.

Having scored a textbook headed opener against Middlesbrough in Palace’s 2-1 win on Teesside, Benteke’s FPL price tag of 7.5 is likely to attract suitors drawn to his power in the air.

There are plenty reasons why that’s the case.

Although Liverpool seemed hesitant to use Benteke’s aerial strength to their advantage, Crystal Palace already appear to be building an attacking approach based around it. This suggests he could be on course to become an outstanding third striker option over the coming season.

      I was thinking about that possibility, but then he did what he did last night and reminded me he is the most talented striker in the game and it is not worth going without him. I mean he is also playing Swansea and I'm assuming Ibra will be higher than him on goal totals by that point so it will feed into his competitive streak.

      Lukaku still with only a 13% ownership is differential enough. Ibra owned by over 60% and will likely be captained by most of that is too risky. But fortune favours the brave.
