I’m considering it, just undecided which City defender I feel is the safest option.

Pep is impossible to predict, but I’d be surprised if Foden rides the bench too much with KDB out.

He looked brilliant last game too. But as with any City assist, that still guarantees nothing.

Most mind boggling move I am considering is Saka > Mbeumo for GW4. Only own him from Arsenal.

Watched both Arsenal.matches and Nketiah will be hogging all the points in my honest opinion and they have not really looked convincing in attack so far.

Alot to do with the Gabriel situation and "system change" or whatever Arteta wants to call it. Their defence looks under pressure as well.

Once Arteta has decided what how he is going to set up his team, what attack he favours, what the story is with Gabriel, then I will have a look at them again.

Saka (potentially) off penalties definitely makes him less appealing.

Odegaard (potentially) being on penalties increases his appeal however.

That’s still up in the air though, so much worse players to settle on than Mbuemo til the dust settles.

      1. Diddizz
        • 7 Years

I think we should wait for at least one more Arsenal-penalty before we know who is nr.1. If you wildcard this week, sure go for it, otherwise your team must be pretty perfect if you consider that move.

This isn't really true though, is it? Arsenal scored, got a man sent off, and then subsequently camped inside their own half. They were miles better before the circumstances changed massively and 3 points was all they cared about.

You do have a point, though, that this Arsenal system doesn't look 100%, and I'm not sure where Arteta is going with it. I also sort of like the idea of Saka to Mbeumo; it's ballsy, but can totally see the logic. I think if Arteta stops experimenting at the back and goes back to last year's back four with a fully-fit Zinchenko, we could see Saka and White together on the right. I think that would be good for Saka as a FPL option.

        1. Diddizz
          • 7 Years

The question with Gabriel is: Why is not Arteta playing him? He said it's tactical, becouse of Partey's role in the team, but they played together last season. Something has happened behind the scenes. Arteta is showing him that he will not be sold to Saudi and he will sit on the bench if he complains more about it.

If Zinchenko is fit to start the game, Gabriel must be back in the team, otherwise we know something has happened. If not Zinchenko, who else? Kiwior, Tierney?

yes i think there's almost certainly something going on behind the scenes, it's very peculiar. If Gabriel is set to start this week then he's probably a good bench option if Trossard doesn't play as a sub in - the reason i'm inclined to start trossard is that the guys dynamite, if he plays any minutes at all he's bound to get a return lol

I started the season with Trossard, was very disappointed to not see him in the starting eleven. If you are lucky he starts against Fulham, he deserves it. Havertz needs a rest!

Yep, I asked them as the rules don't make it clear. They no longer rise every night and only occur once a week right as the new GW starts. That makes the fact that you can reverse transfers, wildcard etc before next GW starts make sense.

I'm not sure about Pedro to Jackson tbh. Personal opinion. Could be wrong when he explodes on Friday.

Gabriel to Udogie is sound, though - wouldn't be getting rid of Shaw before this fixture when he's nailed.

You do have luxury of benching Gabriel and waiting to see one more Arsenal game, however... So it could be tempting to do Rashford to Mbeumo.

personally do not get the hype surrounding Jackson at all. Chelsea looked toothless, as they usually have for over a year now vs west ham, and jackson has zero goals. Wissa and Alvarez both have good fixtures too and look much much better, and both are cheaper, what's not to like?

      1. Diddizz
        • 7 Years
        11 months, 8 days ago

100 % agree. Sure the fixtures are optimal, but do you want Jackson long-term or only for a couple of games?

So far Chelsea looks pretty toothless up front with to many new players. Sure they have speed with Sterling and Jackson, but you can't score a goal with only speed, most of the times.

Pedro still the best option you fancy for third forward in a 3-5-2.

Benching dilemma for gw03, front 8, which 1 would you pick to bench?

    Salah vs New
    Saka vs Ful
    Mitoma vs WHam
    Mbeuno vs Cry P
    Foden vs ShU
    Nketiah vs Ful
    Haaland vs ShU
    Wissa vs Cry P

    Was thinking Mitoma! Any advice?

have this sneaky feeling nketiah gets benched...missed some big chances and hasn't looked great, think trossard gets the nod (I'm praying lol), but yes out of those guys it's probably a coin flip between him and mbeumo/wissa

Trossard deserves a start. He was their best player in pre-season. Nketiah or Havertz needs a breather.

Come on lad, there's a few there you wouldn't bench to save your dog's life.

Between Nket, Mitom and Wissa. Tough. Nket is in most danger of 1 pointer I guess, though even that is unlikely.

What would you change in this defence?

    Saliba / Chilwell / Esputinan / Henry / Udogie

Ideally I’d like to get set for around 10 weeks which is why I’m not keen on Gusto.

Perfect defense Freddo. Well done (:

This is the perfect defense if on WC this GW. You could do Estu/Saliba to a 4.0 and play Chilwell whichever one you keep and rotate Henry/Udogie if you need 1mil elsewhere

Perma-captain or only this weekend? (:

Haalands seems to struggle against the big teams, getting very little service. Had nothing against Arsenal and Sevilla. Foden was great creating at least 2 clear-cut chances for him in the last game, he should have scored at least one. Which was a little suprise for me, that he had a couple of chances and that he missed!

I'd probably go a Newcastle defender over Udogie for long term. Might get the odd attacking return but CS look unlikely.

    B. Watkins (Bur)

    Also plan to start Mbeumo

      A. Brentford has started the season great and Wissa and Mbeumo is behind everything.

I was surprised seing Burnley lose 0-3 at home to Man C, I though they could make it much harder for City.

Crystal Palace is not easy either, but at least they play at home.

I am all over the place on what to do with Pedro & Gabriel, been working thru so many options. I think I have settled on a simple Gabriel to Gusto and see what happens and have 2FT next week (I have 2FT & 0itb this week) for potentially a mini WC.

    What would you do?

    Johnstone
    Chilwell Estu Gusto
    Salah Saka Bruno Mbeumo
    Haaland Watkins Pedro

    Turner Anderson Kabore Baldock

    Seeking advice. My team is:-

    Onana (Turner)
    Estu Saliba Chilwell (Udogie Baldock)
    Rash Bruno Saka Ode Foden
    Haaland Pedro ( Osula)

    2FTs 1.0itb

    A: Pedro to Wissa
B: Pedro to Jackson ; Onana to Flekken
C: Osula to Jackson/Alvarez; Rash to Mbeumo

Think the sensible option is A B and C respond to my FOMO

So many options, but I don't like A. Give Pedro at least next game, Enciso is injured so he should start and is their 1st penalty taker. Brighton have impressed me most of all teams so far. They look great going forward and their players perfect to combine in a Salah-team. If you go no-Salah the options are endless.

Confusing with so many options :/

Maybe Baldock to Kaboré or Osula to Semenyo/Archer. Wait one more week before deciding with 2 full transfers and more information.

I was going to get rid of one next week anyway . They’ve not looked good and there’s so many great mid choices. Seems wrong to get rid before Forest though and think Palace will be a tough test for Brentford - not worth losing Rashford for

        1. Diddizz
          • 7 Years

100 % this. Last chance to stay in the team, If they don't improve, start transfer them out next week.

Hopefully Rashford is playing in his best position if Martial is fit to start the game. Mount-injury could be good also, becouse they are not balanced with him in the team with Bruno in central positions. Eriksen is a better for the balance and hopefully for Bruno also. When Mount is back from injury ETH should try to play him instead of Antony.

Arsenal also have had a slow start of the season, with 2 hard wins and not looking so good going forward. But they are to good not to be improving. I think Arteta should try to play Trossard some more and bench Nketiah or Havertz. Trossard seems to produce every time he gets a run in the team.

I think you’ve persuaded me to do Baldock to Kabore (who’s got a 0.28 xGI!) and give the team one more week.

Agree about Arsenal. Was discussing this with an Arsenal mate; it feels like Arteta is trying to play to a system rather than playing players in their best position. Trossard is too good for cameos.

Utd on borrowed time if they can’t sort their striker problem

Not a bad position to be in even if last weekend was painful for you. No injuries and all you need is an improvement from United and Arsenal and you will be crushing it.

If we can trust the reports Hojlund will be back very soon. https://www.premierinjuries.com/teams/manchester-united

Don't like Leno, Tarkowski and Douglas Luiz.

Wait one more week with Gabriel and see if he starts. You could sell him for a 4.5 Udogie or a 4.0 Kaboré.

Sell something and upgrade Luiz to Mbeumo, Eze or Diaby.

      1. TitusShambles

Yes, you should keep Salah and Rash 100 %. Downgrade Leno, Tarkowski or Gabriel if he don't start next game.

Your goal is to change Luiz to Mbeumo, Eze or Diaby. And if you can't afford them you have Gibbs-White and Ward-Prowse for 6.
