Maddison has never blanked more than 2 games in a row.

    13 returns (8G 5A) in 17 games.

    Saka > Madderz done

I make it 10 attacking returns in 17. Not to say not a good call. Been a toss up between Bruno and Maddison for me. Gone for Bruno - but thinking of swapping out Mbeumo for Maddison.

Much better options than Maddison- too much of a rotation risk

Jesus or Martinelli for the next few as a differential pick?

Starting to warm up to Martinelli stepping up after Saka loss as he is probably out best winger after Saka. Jesus I can see starting the next few but surely Havertz starts upfront some games, surely he won’t be pushed to the mid position? Think Rice Partey Odegaard is the ideal mid combo

    Thoughts?

Personally not a fan of martinelli in FPL, no consistency. But yeah, if you pick him at the right time he‘ll make you happy maybe.

But as far as I know not on free kicks, corners and for sure not on penalties.

Not long took Mbuemo out to fund Palmer etc. Would consider but next 5 fixtures are hard bar Southampton. Albeit, Brentford top points in league at home and Mbuemo on set pieces

Their next 5 include Brighton and Man City so pretty favourable. Also Brentford’s goals usually involve Mbuemo and Wissa where the other teams are shared between 4/5 players

There was massive rotation at the Southampton midweek game. I'm not staying it's a dead cert he won't play but you'd have to give it a high risk, and if he does play then even more unlikely he doesn't play at Ipswich

I don’t think he will be benched against Fulham nor ipswich. There is a gap of 3 full days between games. Enough for a start.

          • 2 Years

I think there was some news about Maresca 'promising' Nkunku a start over this period, and most likely victim of that is Jackson. He's also one short of a suspension. I think that merits some risk of a benching/suspension across those two games (and worse case is he comes on as a sub and gets a booking) but of course he is a great option and has great fixtures. Given that OP is also thinking of moving for Diaz (another rotation risk) then that's a lot of risk

say Saka is out for 2 months-ish as reported, that's likely 9 GWs. If replace with Odegaard, would want 5.2-ish ppg.

    so:

(9x2) + 4 (cs) - 1 (yc) + 12 (4 assists) + 10 (2 goals, 1 of which is a pen) + 7 bonus = 50 points/9, so around 5.6 ppg. think 6 g+a is a fair estimate, decent fixtures. Good chance the other Arsenal players look to him more now in the absence of Saka to pass the ball to as well.

Bruno looks good as well, but not a fan of Amorim constantly moving him into the midfield 2.

Why is Odegaard not very popular, any thoughts?

I’ve actually owned him for three weeks and it’s not worked out. Got to stick with him now.
I think people with double Arsenal defence might go Jesus so he could still be a decent differential.

      1. F4L
        • 11 Years

ah unfortunate, but do think he will come good now. his baseline bps ,which is already decent, will take off having corners, will only take 1 assist to be in and around the bonus.

could just be like last season for him, loads of blanks but the hauls were there as well. patience the key

Interesting way to look at it. He's on 3.8 PPG atm so you're predicting a big increase over these next games.

Maybe it happens if he steps up as the main man, or maybe the whole attack suffers with saka out?

      Def worth considering him though

Have you watched Arsenal's games and how has Ode looked? I have the exact same view as you. With Saka out, he's on more set pieces and I'm hoping more of the attack will flow through him. I know he's been quiet as an FPL asset but he's the fella who makes Arsenal tick. Arsenal could barely win when he was out

          1. NobodyF*cksWithTheJesus
            • 14 Years
            1 year, 2 months ago

He's played well and is v important to the team as always. I think he's the kind of player where that doesn't *always* translate to fpl points, but he could easily get a few returns and set pieces do help. Probably between him and Bruno for me

          2. F4L
            • 11 Years

yeah thinks he's looked alright of late. came on vs Palace in the cup and got 2 assists. even at the weekend, for Arsenal's last 2 goals, Odegaard was right there in the box. still think he's been attacking enough. last 2 cl matches, vs monaco recently he had a few 1 on 1s. won a penalty vs sporting. was off it a bit vs Fulham and Everton. but still think there are encouraging signs since he returned.

pens and corners are huge though and the real attraction

Curious why Son isn't getting much love as a Saka replacement? Differential, pens, simple switch, kind of a placeholder for a healthy Saka weeks from now that doesn't require an upheaval in team structure.

had him for too many blanks this season so far. need to see him more involved in general play to get him again, matches are passing him by right now.

It's a brave bet. They're in dog form but the quality is there. Maybe depends if you've got serious rank to make up or not as to whether you want to take it

If he does well great rank increase, but the flip side is a big red, do you gamble?

True true but this is massive opportunity in my opinion. He can explode in any game. Go big or go home. I have 3 FTs after transfer anyway

So you are a gambler, ask yourself how many times you win, if you do gamble

Personally with that rank I'd prefer something with lower odds

Have to agree with FantasyFog. With four transfers you could do some serious upgrading in other areas by moving Saka to Gordon (for example). But I don't think there are any standout options so Foden feels like medium-risk gamble. Ultimately if you feel strongly this is the move then go for it!

Yes I agree. If the other options would have better fixtures I wouldnt think Foden. And yes im gambling man, probably going for it

I dont like other options really

Diaz not nailed and not best fixtures after two

Maddison not nailed, not best fixtures.

      I have Bruno

Not looking Arsenal since I went with Jesus punt

Sarr is the only one im considering. Sarr train can be still jumped on after Chelsea game

Can't believe after his 20+ goals last season we're talking about Foden as a punt.

      But he's certainly a differential.

Is there any expectation on Cunha ban? How many games would he be banned and when are we exactly expected to hear?

I’d love to keep him if it’s only a game ban

A, you'll want him longer term as he looked like the starting 9 at the beginning of the season
