The Charlie Price Matchplay Head to Head League.

    Code k7hzh6

About 70 of us in so far including someone who once finished 25th in the world. Not many invite H2H leagues out there so thought it was worth trying.

Anyone else think Man U spending all this speculated money on a 20 year old who scored 9 goals and made 4 assists in Serie A arguably a weaker league is foolhardy? Ten Hag must see something in him. Might prove me wrong.

It's risky, but he fits the profile of what ETH's system requires. He has youth and potential on his side so even if it doesn't work out they'll be able to recoup most if not all of the funds on him. The market is bonkers though

Speculative to say the least. Makes me a little wary of Man Utd attack despite 3 good fixtures to start & the obvious appeal of Rashford & Bruno. Currently have Rashford but want to have a good look at Man Utd in their last couple friendlies before I decide

    Anyone looking at Solly March?
Had more shots per game than Mitoma last year and the same amount of key passes as Gross, and one of his goals was cancelled wrongfully so he actually has more, than what it says on the site.

Copied and pasted from one of my previous replies about Joao Pedro but it also applies to March. Personally if I was to go with a Brighton mid by the season start then it would be Gross.

I think I'm gonna stay away from Brighton's attackers despite how good their opening 3 games are.

Welbeck, Undav, Ferguson, Pedro, Mitoma, March, Enciso, Buenonotte all fighting for 4 places with some of those players being interchangeable and play in multiple positions. Adingra has probably thrown his hat in there as well with 2 goals last night and Lallana and Gross has also occupied those attacking midfield spots in the past.

It's too much of a lottery and anyone's guess to say how RDZ will line up for the season start. I think Brighton are really a wait and see and will probably just start with Estupinan myself.

I watched the game last night, Rash was played out the game. Until they get a CF, Bruno is the better option. He was involved in everything. Looked fired up and in control. Rash had been in all my drafts until this morning.

Can't believe some of the hate Henderson is getting. Captain for many years winning it all, always gave everything and was a great leader.
He was not going to play consistently this year, has only a limited amount of his career left and got an offer to make life changing money before his retirement.
The club accepted the offer so seemed a mutually beneficial deal. Henderson should really get a testimonial and will forever be remembered as a great captain by real fans, who won it all while never being a world class talent.
Don't see how he's ruining his reputation going abroad. It's the norm for players in the twilight of their careers. Countless players have jumped ship to Oilville I don't see how Hendos move is any different. Sorry rant over lol

        World is gone.

We got Nike being questioned over child labor STILL.
Uyghur Muslim genocide is happening in China yet the NBA is forced to stay silent.
Saudi Arabia's human rights abuse is being swept under the rug with "sportswashing"
        AI replacing jobs slowly
Modern generation of kids with poor test scores due to social media creating low attention spans, etc.

Core of it all? Money. I actually choose to not be very political because whatever I say has very little meaning in this world so rather than get worked up I focus on my day to day life.

I feel as though Jordan Henderson has a good heart but at the end of the day, your goal should be your family. Him speaking out against Saudi Arabia for a week or two may be a good headline and he maintains his morals, but making the money he does sets his family up for generations.

He put himself out there as a supporter of LGBT and women’s rights, condemning those who oppress them, then promptly sells out for money. Did you see his signing video? They greyed out his rainbow armband in every shot. It was cringeworthy.

My post was more in terms of football, the hate he's getting from fans and the fact people are saying he's destroyed his legacy.

"got an offer to make life changing money before his retirement"

Please explain to me how the money is going to change his life. Was he skint before he accepted the offer? Using a food bank? Struggling to pay his rent and leccy bills? If that had been the case then fair enough - but considering he's already a multi-millionaire then just wtf do you mean by 'life changing money'?

It will likely financially secure his future. Yes he's a multi millionaire and was always going to be fine, but it will still change his life. The extra money could be invested etc if used wisely and could lead to further riches.
I don't think you have to go from poverty to super rich to consider a significant rise in income life changing.
£100,000 would change my life, £5,000 would be life changing to person in poverty etc.
You seem to think only those who are under significant financial stress can receive a life changing amount of money.
He's obviously well overpaid for job but just because the rich can get significantly richer like Ronaldo and Beckham, doesn't mean extra income can't be life changing. Even if it isn't as dramatically life altering as those in worse and unfair circumstances I still say £700,000 a week is life changing money

ok, so have been seesawing between a TAA team and a Salah team, now I've gone leftfield and picked a draft with neither!

Go on then, tell me I'm a prat! with no Liverpool players! and enciso on bench, hedging my bets

    Onana
    Stones Gabriel Estupinan
    Saka Rashford Foden Eze
    Haaland Jesus Jackson

    Areola Enciso Bell, Botman

Great team for the record, but I'm happy to see so many people off the Salah teams?? I have your team except the following

me - Salah, Mbeumo and Mitoma
you - Rashford, Foden, Jackson (all great picks btw)

I don't put much stock in the projections, but my 3 model out to 86 and yours to 82. That ignores the captaincy for Salah in week 2 and uncertainly around Foden and Jackson IMO. The "salah is too expensive if you don't captain him" crowd is fierce these days (lol)

Nope! I see a lot of transfers being used to get rid of Enciso or Pedro down the line. Rest of the team looks good though. Mitoma/4.5 is preferred for me.

Why isn't Pedro as nailed as anyone there? He is there record transfer, have limited centre forwards, has played a lot of pre season minutes whilst impressing. I'd expect him to be as nailed on as anyone at Brighton after they spent so much on him.

A for long-term and you can always downgrade Bruno to Foden/Maddison later on.
I like Mbeumo for the 6.5M price point too. So many good players in that bracket.

I get Jackson but how is Odegaard risky? He is probably as nailed as you can be in that Arsenal side. And always involved in attack by the eye test, yes I know that Arsenal goals can be spread this year on at least 5 players, but that is pro and con for him at the same time, as it is for everyone else

4.5 keeper, 4.5-5.0 defenders, playing Wissa and Mitoma week in week out, no quality on the bench...

But if you get those areas right and Salah is on fire you have as much chance as anyone of winning it.

Tough to go Rashford in a Salah/Haaland team IMO. I have Salah, but the 2.5 from Rashford to Eze (or Foden) creates more balance (not as much as the no Salah teams of course, but some balance)

Looking at starting with something like this and perhaps slowly get Chiwell (e.g for Estup) Trippier etc as fixtures turn.

Cant think of a much better almost set + forget than this
