Could I get some draft trade opinions please

    A) Gordon and Daka (so Daka will be traded for garbage from the waivers)

    or

    B) Kulu and Fullkrug

Bearing in mind the person (me) with A currently has no playing strikers (Daka, Edouard, Toney)

Fullkrug only got 17mins, so I'm not sure he solves your striker problem?

Gordon certainly looks like a better prospect than Kulu at present.

I don't think I'd give up Gordon unless they can offer you a more nailed mid as well as Füllkrug. What position are in for waivers? Do you think you can pick up Evanilson / Nketiah / whoever Chelsea get on deadline day?

Do you think Watkins will be hot going into gw3?
I think if Solanke/Isak blank then everyone will go for him

The fixtures are there. Not sure he'll be hot as he only has the Arsenal game but think many will move on him regardless.

Can see Haaland + MID --> Watkins + Salah being a popular transfer, especially if Haaland only scores single-digits again

FWIW, he started 32 games last season and I think it could have been more if it hadn't been for family problems. I like him as a pick and nearly started out with him in my team so I wouldn't put anyone off bringing him in.

He could easily score and assist
I see him as a great differential
And gakpo replaced jota, looks slot loves diaz a bit at least
If he keeps on starting I have no concerns over points.
If he had scored that chance everyone was talking about him now
        Glad he didn’t. Thank you

Jota / Nunez / Gakpo / Diaz all competing for 2 places.

Salah - Jota - Diaz likely first choice, but rotation will happen.

    Now:
    Raya
    TAA Hall Porro (Barco, Johnson)
    Saka Jota Mitoma ESR (Rogers)
    Halland Solanek Isak

    WC potentional draft:
    Raya
    Mazraoui Veltman Gvardiol Johnson
    Saka Salah Winks Mitoma Rogers
    Halland Vardy Havertz

    Ok or not OK?

That WC defence will fall to pieces in no time. Also looks like you're playing Vardy every game which I don't think even Cooper expects of him

It's not that a WC is pointless, but the team you've put together looks terrible.

If I had your current team there's no way I'd WC that, but depending on this GW I'd consider Haaland + Mitoma > Watkins + Salah.

        • The Mentaculus
          • 4 Years

I mean, I can offer some suggestions if you're dead set on switching to a Salah + Haaland team, although personally I'd recommend sticking with just one at a time & think your current team looks too good to WC.

If you aren't willing to compromise on Haaland, Salah, Saka & Havertz, I think you'd have to ditch Gvardiol to upgrade Vardy to someone like Muniz/Pedro. Get someone more nailed than Veltman. I think Mazraoui is a trap too, especif they get Chilwell

I've WC and made 10 changes . My current draft has no Arsenal,Spurs ,Man utd, only 1 city player .
So I'm not chasing points just playing the next 4 fixtures then mini wildcard with the 4 it's everyone has their way of playing the game.
I know it's a gamble but think it's worth it.
Make your own decisions and live with it.
          Good luck either way.

It does beg the question why you didn't plan to play the first 5 fixtures like that and then WC out of it.

But yes, each to their own and good luck!

Went triple pool wasn't expecting them to flourish as much as they did so was going to take a hit with swapping Salah out and a forward for Haaland but looked at the other games and have now gone a different route which could pay off or blow up in my face but had a decent last week so if need be could take a hit to sort out. But to be honest the fixtures look pretty good for most the players with the defence rotating well but it's a funny old game.

Really happy I picked Pope, especially with the nailedness of the Newcastle back 4 still up in the air

Henderson & Flekken pair, for flexibility.

The two 4.5s I picked rotate well and they're aren't tons of viable 4.5s so got my skin in early for them. Also with a maybe move for a Chelsea keeper if we looked good at the back at the same price point (both my 4.5s rotate well ish with Chaea too).

Before lumping on a 5.0m/5.5m keeper (ie Raya, Pope, Pickford etc) I wanted to see how the BPS changes pan out for keepers.

With Arsenal, I also didn't like the next 4 fixtures defensively - although of course know they're great.

One I plan to adjust accordingly.

With all this Chelsea signings I'm really regretting punting on Nkunku.

Solanke/Nkunku to Rogers/Watkins might be on the cards for gw3

(That's if Solanke doesn't hit form also)

Wouldnt be surprised if Nkunku nails down the striker spot or plays behind the striker even eith the new signings. All it takes is him starting this week and a goal to create one of the bigg3st possible fpl bandwagons

Maresca on signing Joao Felix: "First of all, he is a good player, a talent, we know him already, the club knows him from two years ago. The good thing about Joao is he can play different positions, out wide, inside and as a no9. That's why we do this deal."

I'm used to follow scores on flashscore, but this year I noticed some differences in the stats between FPL and Flashscore
For instance, Pope has 5 saves on satirday on Flashscore but only 3 on FPL.

Is there a live app that aligns with FPL scoring system?

Do they use Opta or Statsbomb? find out what they use and then research a service that uses the same scoring method.

Totally agree. No idea the grade of my injury but at the time I thought I'd broken it.

Got home ok, next day couldn't put any weight on it, lovely deep purple bruise too.

Took the best part of a week to even limp.

If its anything like that he'll only make it worse, if its simply a case of a bit of pain he should be ok to play through it.

Might want to apply critical thinking to your sources as that is sort of meaningless unless they confirm what exactly the knock is.

Literally anybody can tell you he got a knock if they were watching the game on Monday evening.

Football London journalists are a reputable source but they can't diagnose the injury so soon after the match.

Saying there is a 'knock' gives zero clarification of what is actually is - so if Neale has said:

'... [speculation] on the issue but there is nothing from an official source..."

Then then the specific issue is still not clear, ergo there not being an official confirmation of what the issue is, is a valid statement.

So yes, I'll either pull the trigger here or accumulate FTs to correct that asap

Newcastle, Spurs with Foden/Palmer did you dirty, but this team is still class. It needs another week of info I believe

New one on me: Player sent off for urinating by side of pitch while waiting to take a corner.

Its on the BBC footy page. In Peru, a player was waiting to take a corner while the GK was getting treatment. Did the deed, ref alerted, red card. No VAR.

        Bottomed. Sorry

        Sels.
        Gvard. Maz. Robinson.
        Salah©. Saka. Bernardo. Szob.
        Haaland. Havertz. Pedro.

WCed. Disappointed no rises yet. Locked in set and ready to R&R.

Any last minute changes gurus of the game?

          Post the full team.

Surely better 6.5m and under mids to choose over Bernardo

Perhaps. I'm 1m short for Bowen. Maybe Kudus. I'll have it figured yet I do feel it's gonna be a good season for the slob.

Don't mind the Szobo pick as long as he continues to get starts as a 10

Don't like Bilva or Pedro on WC tbh.

I'd lose Saka and get Eze instead. Then buy Trent with the change.

No one has ever believed me that it's great in EVERY way to WC after GW1. This post kinda backs it up.

from 2006-2012 when there was only 1 wildcard it was still prudent to use it gameweek 2 as there would be about 20-30 players who would rise 0.3m. I'd like to see you lot complaining about it, would be epic

Not after first week (very few movements as starting from zero), but second or third - that's when there's by far the most movements for the season, there was some proper analysis of it back in the day. Hence I've planned a gw3 wildcard as you have the benefit of international break and a Friday deadline followed by a Saturday deadline. 0.5m is worth about 15 points over the season so in theory if you play it smartly.

        Best captain choice this gw

        A- Solanke
        B- Jota
        C- Trent
        D- Foden
        E- Palmer
