Quite a few lessons learned on the AM chip. I am yet to use, but my predictions on how to play it so far have been right.

Moyes and Emery was the right play and those who went that route deserve the points they got for it.

Moyes did exactly what was hoped - win the easy game, good chance of getting something from the bonus game.

Emery got there the unorthodox route, but the percentage play paid off. He failed win the easy game, but then got a result at home in the bonus.

All the while, those that went Moyes Emery were able to maximise their LFC players also! While those that went Slot missed out on any bonus and also missed out on a valuable LFC asset.

It makes most sense in a DGW to go for fixtures that have at least 1 bonus fixture (especially if there are teams with clear good player picks to own). The only reason you would go for the AM of no table bonus is if there are no clear 3 good player picks from the same good team.

However, I believe it makes most sense in single GW to go for easy wins with high GD potential (e.g Chelsea 27 & 28). The chip could be wasted in a single GW on a hopeful bonus point if it fails, as there is no safety fixture in the same GW to get points.

A lot of that is probably true but shpuld point out that the biggest scores in 25 were bonus wins for single games and if you'd viewed Villa-Ipswich as an easy win with high GD potential it would have been a big fail.

Yes we'll done to Moyes and Emery owners but there will be weeks when the safe non table bonus pick was the right pick. Slot could have got five wins on the bounce on another five game block. That's FPL.

This is an accurate assessment. Although there were some big single gameweek scores, the doubles made a real difference in giving some leeway/protection for results that didn't go as expected (e.g. Emery v Ipswich). Glad I held onto Diaz, too.

I feel, the sum of the draw and the win for the lower placed side equals the win only of the higher placed side, you may toss a coin on the outcome. (Provided the bookies got their info right)
To add one must appreciate the benefit of only 2 players in the higher side and the possible TC compare to 3 players in the top side if betting against for the lower side.
When I say lower side the benefit of a 5 position gap must be there.
Home advantage for the lower side should be important.
Be sure of noting the use over 3 weeks and the chip limitation in this period.
Finally, the money and the transfers the ASMAN chip needs to make good use of it.

You're covered for Bournemouth attack but are Mbuemo/Wissa in your thinking? Wissa's been unlucky the last couple of weeks - in your shoes I might go Gakpo>Wissa and then do Wood (ARS,MCI)>Cunha(FUL,EVE) next week.

Either way you're optimising an already strong squad so a good problem to have.

Thanksfor the input much appreciated. My thinking is that Rogers will play, so min 2 points and Chelsea have looked poor recently, Wissa/Cunha would have to get min 6 points to break even this week and I could maybe wait till next week and do Wood to Cunha for free and keep Gakpo for NEW SOU?

Brentford fixtures don't feel that great with Everton picking up under Moyes and tough fixtures 29-32.

If I do Gakpo to Cunha

    A) Play Cunha/TAA, bench Huijsen
    B) Play Cunha/Huijsen, bench TAA
    C) Play TAA/Huijsen, bench Cunha

    D) Roll transfer, bench Gakpo

Yes, unless you want to hold Gakpo for SOU in 28 and EVE in 30.
Would you consider moving Rogers instead (where there are more options than with forwards) for a 3-5-2?

Or both moves for a hit

I'm chasing bonus, having benefited from Moyes and Emery so far.
All it's really done is make up for me ditching Wood before his hattrick, but the payoff of the bonus potential is that it makes a hit far easier to swallow.
There seem to be far more midfield options than forwards this week - could you wait to do Cunha?
