How much will Haaland be next season?

    12.5?

Real lack of elite players in the league these days.

Likes of Mbeumo, Wood, Mateta, Cunha could be 9m next season.

Reckon Haaland comes in at 14m still. Salah also.

Money is really no object this season. I hover around the 3-4 mill in the bank at any time.

There’s a greater concentration of elite players in England than ever before.

Wolves are, relatively speaking, hot garbage. But they have multiple Brazilian internationals.

Just because they are Internationals, does not mean they are elite players. Brazilian national team is the worst I've seen in my life time.

Mr.O'Connell is right, there are a real lack of elite players. And I assume when he says elite, he means the "Lampards" and "Gerrards" of before.

I think whatever they do with Haaland won't matter that much in isolation. If Salah leaves the league, Palmer and Saka for differing reasons havent had big enough seasons to warrant rises, they may even get dropped. Foden is definitely getting a drop. There will be a small amount of premiums and Haaland will still be the most expensive if Salah leaves. The big difference will be you won't get any cheap forwards unless they are from promoted sides. It'll be 6.5 to get anything half decent up front next year imo.

That table is very interesting. It reveals who has a low block and who presses high and could leave space behind. In a gameweek with no obvious captain, I quite fancy a Marmoush captain punt after reading this.

Only trouble is I expect Brighton to win given how consistently bad city have been this season.

This "average distance from goal in which they make a defensive action" table really is excellent. I'm a heavy stats user in the members area but I haven't got the first clue about how to use any of the stats bomb stuff.

The next logical step for the data in this table is: which teams do the best and score the most against low blocks and high presses? Is there any way to see this please?

I’d have to take a -12 to get 11 so I can keep my FH, reckon it’s worth it? I’m reluctant given how many hits I’m taking but might be worth the upside as I’m sat just on the cusp of 1m rank and want to make some aggressive moves in the last few GWs.

    Henderson* (Lis)
    Robinson Aït-Nouri Milenkovic Muñoz* (TAA*)
    Kluivert Palmer Mbeumo (Salah* Rogers*)
    Wood Isak* Gakpo*
    (* means GW29 blank)

Want to keep Salah and Isak particularly due to avoiding loss of value. Aiming to WC before GW31. Proposed transfers would therefore be:

    Henderson>Sels
    TAA>Kerkez
    Rogers>Bruno
    Gakpo>Wood

    What do you think?

If you don't free hit 29, aside from the -12 hit, the main problem is you would be stuck with Bruno in your team from 30 onwards. Doesn't feel great.

      I would wildcard now for a -12.

Playing 10 players wouldn't be the worst thing also.

The games are awful, all have 1-1, 1-2 written all over them.

I'm not bullish on the Wolves defence. The loss of Cunha has a knock on effect to team structure affecting their defense.

    What a quote.

“If you ignore the [opposition] talent and the defensive part of the game, you are making a mistake. We’ll try to avoid [this] till the end because it’s the basic pillar for us is a clean sheet. We are proud of achieving clean sheets.” – Nuno Espirito Santo

Think I'll be doubling up or even tripling up on their defense in the run in with those fixtures. They won't be this cheap next season!

We will know who blanks in GW34 before GW30 deadline but probably not who doubles in GW33 given that the FA Cup QF are only a couple of days before the GW30 deadline, and it's possible that those postponements will be moved to GW36, or a European midweek (like has already happed this season) rather than GW33

      1. Chrisitis
        • 14 Years

GW37 FA Cup final posponments can still be played in midweek of GW37. Provided Manchester United don't make the Europa League Final, and have a fixture that needs to be rearranged (which they won't if City knock BOU out of Cup)

Sorry Spurs not United now they are out of Cup, if Spurs make Europa Final and Villa make the FA Cup Final there GW37 fixture can't be played in midweek of GW37, so would have to be moved to GW36, which would have the knock on effect of the City/Villa fixture being moved to GW33 if either of those teams make the Cup semi's.

Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.5m), who supplied the assist for Hudson-Odoi’s goal, now has 13 returns in his last 14 starts. Impressive stuff.

Is anyone looking at him for the run in?

Is that one way to make some late season gains ... MGW instead of Wood (with his unsustainable record breaking goal conversion rate)?

    1. Haa-lala-land

MGW feels like he just trickles along to 150 at the end of the season, ala JWP.
You have to sit through a run of 2's to get there.
Without doubles it's a tough sell.

Probably GTG. If doing one more transfer it would have to be Gakpo as you wouldn’t take a hit for a defender - Gakpo to eg Wissa could pay off, he’s nailed so it’s effectively a -2 risk for 29 on its own and 1 return more than cancels that out so might be worth the gamble if you aren’t desperate to have Gakpo after 29

Not the best admittedly - but they’re somewhat fixture proof or at least quite random in when their main players get returns, Wissa and Mbeumo tick along nicely and are nailed. On balance probably just avoid the hit this week though, go with 10 and reassess. I’m not sure Gakpo is a hold though regardless

All I'm seeing on my twitter feed today is crying from Arsenal fans (again) and Liverpool haters complaining about the Liverpool pen yesterday and the claim that the amount of pens Salah has scored detracts from his achievements this season.

Let's be clear, it was a foul on Nunez so it was a penalty. The defender kicked through the back of Nunez left leg. Stonewall pen. With regards to Salah, even if you take all the pens away from the league's top scorers, Salah would still be on 18 goals second only to Haaland who would be on 19 but with 35 goal contributions which is far more than anyone else.

So keep crying Liverpool haters and let it sink in that they have now drawn level with Man Utd on 20 league titles.

No. Not a red. It was a bit of a swipe with the instep of the foot, not excessive force which it would have needed to be for a straight red. And once the onfield decision has been given as a yellow, it would need to be a clear and obvious error for it to be overturned which it wasn't.

The problem is Twitter, more than what is being said. Why would you base one opinion from that?

As for penalties it is a valid argument. Andy Cole score one penalty in his entire career and 187 PL goals. It massively skews his stats, especially season ones.

Think of how many penalties Man Utd got and what he would have had with them or Newcastle.

Or TAA, Dango, Cunha to RAN, MGW, Marmoush

Morning. I’d like Haaland next week but it would require a -4 and losing Isak and Palmer. Otherwise, I can just use my 2FTs and field 11. What do you reckon?

    A) Rogers + Gakpo > Kluivert + 6.5 forward (free)
    B) Palmer + Gakpo + Isak > Kluivert + Haaland + 6.7 forward (-4)

    2FT 0.0ITB
    Sels
    Gabriel RAN Castagne Mykolenko
    Palmer Bruno Mbeumo
    Wood

    (Salah Isak Gakpo Rogers)

    Cheers!

I wouldn't sell isak because I bought him for 8.6 and will want him back.
But then I'm planning to keep Rogers too! If I get haaland it will be at the expense of palmer.

Cheers.Yeah, wouldn’t sell Isak ideally but can’t get Haaland without it unfortunately. Maybe he’s not worth it

Just looked at Marmoush and MGW? Or Elanga if you can't afford that

Never imagined I'd be asking this but who is the best option for gw29 regardless of price:
    A) Haaland
    B) Wood

    1. Gubby-Allen

Wood for me, have him Captain.

As a one off eg Free Hit, it is a toss of a coin. Either could get a hattick or none, but I would fancy Wood to much more.

Thanks. It's not a free hit but given i have 5ft and plan to WC soon I am in a position to take a punt. Unfortunately I won't be able to have both since I want to keep 2 of my current forwards.

What is that table saying about Arsenal in layman's language?

    Being bottom at over 50m

    Worth shifting out Dango?

    Raya
    Robinson, Aina, Mykolenko, Kerkez
    Kluivert, Dango, Mbeumo, Bergvall
    Haaland, Wood

    Fabianski, Dango, Salah, Isak

You have the same four in the bench as I do.

Not selling any as the replacements would be 1-2 weeks and the points should be low this week.

Your team looks fine, no obviously replacements.

Bournemouth play ManCity right after international break, there Dango will probably be benched so I dont rule him out starting midweek vs brentford (gw 29)

    Do I:

    A) FH in 29
    B) Take a -4 to leave me with the below team in 29 (TAA/Salah/Cunha > Gvardiol/Kluivert/Haaland)

I will WC in 31 so would only be Salah-less for 30 if I go for option B

    Pickford
    Gabriel Gvardiol Kerkez Robinson
    Palmer Mbeumo Kluivert Dango
    Haaland Wood

    4.0 Isak Rogers Greaves

If I had it it would definitely be Howe in gw30

      Brentford home
      Leicester away
      Dgw32

      No transfers.

Also offsets a TC Isak for those not waiting on Haaland.

    Better option this gw?

    A. Taa > gvardiol
    B. Sarr > semenyo ( own kluivert)

  26. Norco

Bit of a snooze fest, how's the transfers look - 3FT

    Mateta > Strand Larson
    Hall > Gvardiol
    Greaves > Huijsen

    Gives:
    Pick
    Gabriel Gvardiol Huijsen Robinson
    Palmer Mbeumo Bowen Kluivert
    Wood StrandL

    Subs (Blankers: Salah TAA Isak)

Onuachu will probably outscore Strand Larsen when they play each other in 29.
I'd rather lose Trent than Mateta.

Ranked 470 in the great Hall of Shame tourney I find mineself being squeezed by a CC pincer movement with Zophar at 468 and Lateriser12 at 488!

      Sels is set and forget.

For the next 3 games it's gotta be the Bournemouth or Wolves keeper.

What would you change in this FH team?

    Sels
Gabriel - Gvardiol - AIT Nouri
    Bruno - Mbeumo - Kluivert - Gibbs-White
    Haaland - Marmoush - Wood

Sub: Areola - Palmer - Mazzouri - Robinson

    Thank you

      It's fine

An Arsenal midfielder over Palmer and perhaps someone other than Marmoush, but that's probably Beto at home to the Hammers.

Or a Spurs striker at Fulham or Evanilson.

Gabriel to one of the Man Utd centre backs.

For those not on FH, is it even worth taking a hit to get Haaland in?

If Palmer performs today is it worth ripping up your squad for the Brighton and Leicester game?

With Man Utd, Palace and Everton to follow.

Not if Palmer performs well today, if not as a non GW30/GW31 WC user I wil probably do

Estupiñán (mci), Palmer, Cunha to Agbadou, Elanga, Haaland -4
