el Scorcho, i like what your doing with the strong midfield, there are maybe a couple too many gambles in your team.
for one im not sure how many games Hypia will play this year, last year he got quite alot but Agger is fit agina and they signed a few defenders. also similar with wes brown as its unclear who will be first choice out of him an g-nev and they have a tough start (missing gw3)- mayb worth leaving him out until then so you get an idea about who will play rb first choice?
ps i think van p will be on fire this season!
What do people think of my squad at the moment.
Howard, Schwarzer;
Bale, Clichy, Agger, Johnson, Cahill;
Taylor, Young, Arteta, Giovanni, Scholes;
Ashton, Van Persie, Rooney.

With the intention of the possible transfers;
Before Gameweek 2: Scholes -> Gamst
B4 GW3: Rooney -> (Anyone form striker)
B4 GW4: Gamst -> Duff
B4 GW5: Taylor -> Modric
B4 GW7: Rooney back in
Not a bad team akers, good method as well planning the transfers because without that method you would have thought that scholes shouldnt be bought in the first place!
Yeah, Scholes will not play too many games I wouldn’t have thought, but he’s certain to play the first game I reckon.
Also, thought it was important to plan ahead as I don’t want to be stuck with 3 or 4 players I don’t want, I just want to capitalise on favourable fixtures. I just hope the values of the players I want to bring in don’t increase.
P.S. This season I am confident of the following doing very well that people may not think of buying; Gamst, Duff, Alves, D. Bent and Carrick.
What’s the verdict on buying players at the beginning of the season that are new to England? My head tells me NO .. stick to tried & tested, if perhaps a little boring, and that buying into new foreign, continental blood is a bit dangerous (but just a bit more exciting) It’s kind of style over substance.
eg. MID-HIGH price midfielders stick to Downing, Young, Petrov etc instead of Nasri, Modric, Deco
Similarly for MID price strikers, stick with Alves, Carew, Yak etc instead of Dos Santos, Bent / Ashton (kind of new!), Elmander (very tempted with Bolton’s fixtures)

I have got Ferdinand in , and i want another man u defender and i have only got 6 mill left. So that leaves me with Brown or Neville

I wouldn’t bother to be honest, with Man U missing gameweek 3, you’ll be relying heavily on your subs or you’ll be transfering one out anyways…
i’d prob just get a Bolton or Everton defender in until after game week 5 as Man U have Liverpool and Chelsea away gameweeks 4 and 5…

Alright this is my first ever go at a team, i need all the help i can get.

F: Van Persie, Yakubu, (Ashton)
Had a little trouble deciding over Reo-Coker, or possibly Muamba? Also, should Cahill start with Bolton’s starting fixtures or should I have gone for someone like Wheater? I was left with .5 at the end…
