Dugout Discussion

Saturday Dugout Discussion

As the dust settles on Papiss Cisse’s stunning contribution last night, Fantasy managers must prepare for seven more Premier League games as the Gameweek progresses in earnest. Our Dugout Discussion Chatroom is now fully fuelled and running its engines in time for day’s opener at the Stadium of Light.

Spurs make the journey to the North East, having witnessed Newcastle’s clinical disposal of Swansea in last night’s victory at the Liberty. The ball is very much in Harry Redknapp’s court as he attempts to keep Alan Pardew’s men at arms length, whilst fending off Arsene Wenger’s Gunners who take on City tomorrow. The teams line-up as follows…

Sunderland XI: Mignolet, Bardsley, Colback, Kilgallon, Turner, Larsson, McClean, Cattermole, Gardner, Sessegnon, Bendtner.

Tottenham XI: Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto; Parker, Sandro; Van Der Vaart, Modric, Bale; Adebayor

We’ll then roll through five three o’clock kick-offs, Chelsea vs Wigan and Bolton vs Fulham to name but a couple, before Stoke and Wolves come clattering together in today’s evening fixture and rounding out our Saturday affairs.

Join the your Fantasy Football peers for a chat via this link.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I knew it would happen but it still smarts a bit. Dempsey been poor away from home all season scoring just 3 goals. Of course after i get rid he scores 2. Sadly the story of my whole season! lol

Not many, but had averaged a goal a game shipped at home recently - not great, but then Fulham are usually woeful away and dempsey far from prolific.

      Not now.

Was going to ditch him for Theo and get him back in GW35 but I reckon I'm getting rid of Bale instead now.

To be honest, I was going to get rid of Bale ages ago but got talked out of it. Spurs look jaded and I think I'll get BAE and Ade in for the DGW instead.

Lost interest in Bale a while ago. Posts like yours persuaded me to keep him. In fairness he's done nothing since to make me happy with that decision.

Getting Ade in for the DGW and genuinely not fussed about losing Bale now.

    REPOST 🙂

I could use some help on how to use my FT’s. My plan was to use 1 a week so I have 2 for the DGW.

    Schwarzer Mignolet

    Ridgewell Evans Baines Caulker Wilkinson

    Walcott Valencia Dempsey Bale Siggy

    RVP Rooney Holt

    *10 GW34 players

    *4 DGW players excluding Wilko

Ignore Newcastle v Bolton and focus on GW34 players or not?

Anything else I should be thinking of?

That's the problem with the plan but on the other hand Papiss has Stoke(H), Wigan(A) and Chelsea(A) who they could beat. Dempsey has one nice fixture and Papiss has two. Also Fulham will be very defensive when they go to play Liverpool and Everton.

People feel free to give your 2 cents but please listen to mine. I did Dempsey -> Walcott last night and no i'm not saying this because his a part of my 'team' now but surley people who are feeling sad for taking out Dempsey should think again?

He has Wolves & Wigan next so has oppurtunity to get lots of points. Dempsey has Chelsea and then a blank. If not anything else atleast you've got an extra player for GW 34?

Can i just say me doing my transfer last night means i still get points for Dempsey, so anyone who did the same as me please just listen to my explanation and stop feeling sorry for yourself because it could turn out to be the move of the season 😛

I think people who didn't make that move are now thinking of jettisoning someone else and keeping Dempsey.

I am very seriously considering ridding myself of Bale for Walcott.

Bottom line is that Bale isn't scoring goals and Dempsey is. Really, that's all you need to know to make a reasonable decision.

I think it's different for people who can't get an XI though, given Walcott and Sessegnon as options. I want Dempsey for the DGW though, might lose Valencia.

My XI for 34 includes Taiwo, so I will get rid of him with one transfer, and keep another free for after 34.

Yeah it's like he can't do anything to convince some to keep him. He will score against Chelsea guaranteed! West London derby, he will be well up for that.

Walcott for Dempsey or Bale? It's a tough one. Discuss.

      Made my case above.

      Dempsey is scoring goals.

All Bale gets these days is the odd assist.

I know which one scores more points in FPL.

I have not had Dempsey at a single point this season. I am contemplating losing Bale for him and doubling on Spurs defence and getting Ade or VDV instead.

Losing faith a bit with Bale. Am I thinking sensibly or is the knee starting to jerk?

No, I think too many of us are holding onto Bale when his form in the last 6 or so weeks has not justified keeping him at his price.

None were due to anyone. BAE will propably get some but that's highly dubious. An aweful game.
