Dugout Discussion

Sunday Dugout Discussion

Yet again both Manchester clubs in are involved in Sunday Premier League action. With most fantasy managers cheering on their captain today, the Dugout Discussion opens to follow all the action from the three games on show.

We start at Old Trafford as United look to open up an eight point gap with a victory against Everton. The team news from the match-up is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Man United XI: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Nani, Rooney, Welbeck.

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Neville, Osman, Heitinga, Gibson, Pienaar, Fellaini, Jelavic.

Nani returns to United’s starting eleven for the first time in eight games, with Ashley Young taking his place on the substitutes bench. Facing his former employer, Darron Gibson starts for Everton.

Then it’s over to bottom of the league Wolves, where City are in town needing three points regardless of the earlier result. Kicking off at the same time, Liverpool and West Brom are also in action, with Roy Hodgson back at Anfield for the first time since departing as Liverpool manager.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Looks like selling RVP instead of Rooney was the right call. Bad decision Daniel, bad, but there is always next week. I think I am gonna need Rooney for GW 37/8

i sold rvp and rooney for tevez and cisse, so unless rooney scores another one it's likely to be a good call 🙂

and if tevez goes crazy it might still be a superb call!

RVP and Rooney are gonna sting a lot of people (including myself) in Gameweek 37 imo. Hopefully the doublers which replace them will compensate

    Bottom of last page....

My GW 36 plan atm 😉

RVP, Walcott, McAuley > Jelavic, VDV, Terry for a 4pt hit leaving me with 5.4M in the bank-.

And this team for the amaing next GW 36!

    Krul(che,wig)

    BAE(BLA,bol)-Caulker(WOL)-Terry(QPR,NEW)

    Dempsey(eve,liv)-Siggy(WOL)-Sessegnon(BOL)-VDV(BLA,bol)

    Aguero(MUN)-Jelavic(FUL,sto)-Cisse(che,wig)

    Two questions do I have.

1).Do you liker my team and plan?

2.) Do you think I should take another 4 pt hit to get Sess out for Mata/Pienaar/Maxi/Bale?

Cheers, it’s very much appreciated if you could take your time to answer this! 🙂

Yeah, but he's getting close to the Golden boot and has 3 arguably decent fixtures - mcy to effectively win the title, then SWA and sun who have nothing really to play for, and if Rooney is withing 2-3 goals of the Golden boot I think he'll get given gametime.

Pienaar is a class act and 'arry's stubborn resistance to play him sums up every reservation I have about him as a future England manager. Aaron Lennon has literally offered nothing for the last 2 seasons.

You don't know what you're on about. Pienaar had a decent amount of chances for us and looking very average each time but provided good cover considering what we paid for him.

To say Lennons offered nothing suggests you don't watch much Tottenham. Him and Bale on opposite flanks when they were both on form was one of the most devastating partnerships in Europe. We originally lost bits of form when Lennon was injured because it upset the balance of the team. All of our players are pants at the moment, it's not right to blame anything on Lennon.

How many chances did Pienaar get?? You are right though I dont watch spurs regularly and it was probably a flippant comment but when did Lennon do anything of note? I also think Modric is the most over-rated player in the Premier league but totally wasted in a 4-4-2 formation which you will probably contest strongly 🙂

Lennons not as explosive as far, obviously but he's contributed his fair share. He's scored a couple of last minute goals which have been vital and his assist Adebayor a couple of weeks ago was quality.

I don't disagree with you on Modric. And perhaps this will go against with i said about Lennon but...

We should be lining up in a 4-2-3-1 with Sandro and Parker in front of the defence with Bale, Modric and Lennon or vDV in front of them with Adebayor up front.

Not convinced that was worth a yellow either, making up for his poor decision in the first half?

"How Barry continues to be picked for England over Carrick is beyond me. He was immense in the 1st half. Has to go to Euros."

    onn bbc football
is it just me or do people in england really play up how english players perform
i havent really noticed him doing anything special unless being able to control and pass the ball sideways is special these days

It is probably more of a dig at Barry. The over-reaction to English players is ridiculous. See Jack Wilshere for details.

It really wrecks my head who to ditch for Jelavic:
head says RvP, heart says Rooney.

Most of you told me not too, but my 4 point hit of Walcott & Adebayor > Petrov & Tevez (C) so i could keep Rooney and RvP is looking like a decent move right now. Tevez will end up doing nothing now but i'm still happy with it.
