The Numbers Game – ICT Form Analysis

Filed under: Members - Posted by: Mark

Just three more days to go till the curtain draws on the domestic campaign, then. As many Fantasy managers look to load up on more assured Fantasy assets ahead of Sunday’s deadline, plenty more are in the position where differentials are needed for that vital edge in the final Gameweek of the season.

This latest article for members takes a look at the top ten players per position over the last four Gameweeks in accordance with our very own ICT Index averages. Also using the Opta data available, we dig deep in order to highlight some overlooked potential perhaps worth considering this weekend.

I’ve been having trouble deciding my front 7 for this week and I’ve been constantly meddling around with it. I’m currently torn between benching either Dempsey or Siggy. :/

    It’s looking like this atm:

    Moses — Siggy — Valencia — Bale
    – RVP (C) — Jelavic — Rooney

I would love to have a frontline of Rooney/RVP/Aguero but that way I would have to lose Jelavic who is a differential and hold onto Rooney who is not..

Lose Rooney or Jelavic (Non differential vs. differential) for Aggy? To fund Jelavic -> Aguero I would be doing Bale -> Maloney..

With Brunt being out you don’t have any benching troubles. If i do what i currently plan (similar to what your doing) i have to either bench Maloney (who’ll get in) or Valencia – all for a 4 point hit. Eugh.

    front 8 of

    A) get a midfielder worth 4.7 and play them(maloney maybe?)(-4)
    B) get any random midfielder and just play valencia, HBA, siggy, and pienaar(-4)
    C) rather do rooney –> aguero (then 1. bale –> VDV/mata/dempsey/silva(-4) or 2. HBA –> moses or yaya(-4))

After much thought & discussion this is the plan. Nani & Pogs out, Tevez & Maloney in.

    Leaves for final week.

    Bego

    Enrique – Santon/Evans – Jags

    Valencia – Bale – Dempsey – Maloney

    RVP – Aguero (c) – Tevez

Vorm seems the obvious choice with Bolton desperate for points?

      unoaime says:

Depends on how many differentials you’ve already got throughout your team – some people don’t realise they’ve already got enough.

A different successful captain choice could potentially be all you need.

        The differences are:
Me- Vermaelen, Jagielka, Rafael, Dempsey, VDV, Jelavic, possibly Aguero (he will probably bring him in though?)

Him -Walker, Boyce, Moses, Valencia, Torres

          unoaime says:

vDV and a decent captain choice could do it. He already has the main differential people are going for in Torres. If you have a FT, maybe Dempsey > Maloney to limited his Wigan threat and if Moses isn’t amongst the goals whilst Maloney is – it could be enough for you to catch that lead.

    On 2 FT:
    Dempsay -> Silva
    Pappis -> RVP
*still left 1.1 in bank after above transfers

    That would leave me:
    Silva Siggy Bale VDV
    Jelly Aguero RVP

Doubling City & Spurs in front 7. Or should I take cover from other team?

You can’t work Rooney in without silly hits and none of your current mids are droppable for a Man United one.

As for Liverpool, what form? Apart from beating Chelsea and Norwich they haven’t done much and Swansea have been great at home all season.

From a logical perspective, RDM can’t expect to plonk him straight into the CL final without playing a match for two weeks, he’d be going through the gears. I’m hoping he’ll give him 60mins against Blackburn, hopefully put in a good performance and go into the final with confidence.

Alright guys, my first time posting.

Was wondering who you think I should pick to start out of this XI, I’m 8 points clear in my mini league (blew 45 points last week, after spending 8 points to get VERM, MOSES and Pienaar…chasing another league.)

    Krul -Mignolet

    Verm – Walker – Lescott – Evans – Bardsley,

    Bale – Siggy – Pienaar – Moses – Maloney,

    Aguero (c) – Rooney – Ba

    Thanks guys for any help.
