With Eden Hazard flourishing and attracting huge Fantasy investment, Tottenham’s Gareth Bale is already in danger of becoming a forgotten man just a couple of Gameweeks into the season. The Welshman returned double figures for both goals and assists last term and began the season hotly tipped to contest the top position in the midfield rankings. However, already we’re seeing Fantasy managers lose faith, no doubt shifting allegiance to Chelsea’s Belgian.

The arrival of Andre Villas-Boas has, to this point, failed to spark Spurs and Bale has epitomised their slow start to the season. With a hefty price tag around his neck, it’s clear that Fantasy managers cannot sit still on an ailing heavy-hitter but are the doubters right to shed Bale and move on?

In this latest article for members, we examine Bale’s numbers so far, assessing the averages gathered to this point in comparison to last season’s data in attempt to assess how the arrival of Villas-Boas has affected his form and his potential to deliver Fantasy returns.

    Which two to play out of Cuellar, Demel and Hughes?

    Not confident with any of them but expect Swansea to score so tempted to go Demel and Hughes and hope for a 0-0 borefest!

                that is really cool, I might have to pick up a Vita now, thanks man, it would be a lot easier than getting an old PES and booting it up. I actually still have the old FFVii on my shelf beside me, still holds sentimental value!

        I really don't understand it either, I thought also he wanted to move to a bigger club in Europe etc. No-one must have wanted him, probably being punished with this move by Jol. Even as a Sunderland fan I'm not all that fussed about him as we have so much attacking options

      They estimate it by analysing the NTI of the players that have risen recently. It's not an exact figure, just an approximation.

      Wouldnt touch Ade. AVB will rotate him loads with Defoe and he's already frustratingly inconsistent. Would prefer Bale over HBA and BA over Ade. Rest looks good, love the defence.

    RE: Berbatov.

    Martin Jol has always played such an attacking style of the game wherever he's managed, and this is no different at Fulham. At Spurs, Berbatov formed a good partnership with Keane and Jol's team were one of the league's highest goalscorers. Granted, they were far from solid at the back, and I'm under the impression that Jol's teams' have always had the philosophy of "we'll score one more than you".

    In two PL matches, Fulham have scored 7 already inc. 2 at OT - how many more teams will manage to score twice against MU this season? Also in pre-season, they scored 15 in 7 matches which seems a healthy return against moderate opposition.

    So my point is Fulham, as long as MJ is in charge, will continue to score plenty of goals. And if Berbatov is their main man up front, I'm sure he'll score his fair share, especially with the possibility of penalties. So 6.9m is a bargain!

    The other interesting thing is how much Sigurdson will play with Dembele there too? Sigurdson got an assist in the FPL last game, but i've also got Bale. I think one of them will have to go to make way for Hazard, at the moment it's Bale if he doesn't register any returns this weekend

      I'm giving Bale 3 GWs - NORWICH, reading, QPR. I he doesn't produce 20+ pts between those 3, he's a goner.
