Here my team, could i have some opinions on my team. what i may need to do.

    Bego
    riise - demel - rafeal
    cazorla - HBA - michu - fellaini
    RVP - tevez - berba

i am thinking to transfer out clyne and wilson. maybe i could do just wilson and not take a hit. HBA is a possible transfer also...wilson and HBA maybe.....?

no idea, who i will (or can) bring in though.

evening guys, i dont post very often but like many on here i am truly obsessed with all things fantasy football 😛 anyway i in no way want this to come over as conceited or gloating heaven forbid but at this stage in fpl 2011/12 i had had my worse ever start with an all time low rank of 1.9 million in the world and all that after winning my mini league at a canter the year befor. Fast forward to the same gameweek this year and well what can i say, a weekly score of 82 with no hit and a gameweek rank of 2078 (quite possibly my highest ever) and a big green arrow up to 7099 makes it a good start over the 1st qtr of the season.......but what a difference from last year 😯 i put down mainly to (as far as i can make out) patience with my signings & not kneejerking. patience in particular with felliani, jelavic and now berba has really made my season so far. my point is i suppose its as much about not taking out the guys that burn you with missed scores than it is about the lucky new must have pick 🙂

The game is proving easier this year. Pick between Mata, RVP, Nolan, Michu, Fellaini, Berbatov, Ba, Suarez, Ivanovic, West Brom gk/def, Stoke gk/def, and you will have been handsomely rewarded, consistently.

          😉

It's certainly trickier this year to let players go. Even if Michu was to serve a 1 match ban, I'd struggle to replace him and his returns for 6.5 - 7m. Looking at my front 8, I only have Taarabt I'd happily consider transferring out. If I was to pick any Arsenal mid, then it would probably be Walcott now, over Cazorla, so he's on shaky ground too.

We need the likes of Man City, and some of the big hitters (Bale, Hazard, Silva) to come alive to shake things up a bit!

I agree and like you I'm experiencing my best ever season so far. Although I have kept faith with the likes of Pienaar and Caz since GW1 now is the time to sell. Both have been adversely affected by changes in formation and the rise (or fall) of other players in their teams. Yes it is equally important to make good decisions by not kneejerking out some players but you must also recognize the correct time to sell on and buy other players.

I'm going to think about who to get rid of, Cazorla or Bale.

I do want both Mata and Silva in my side, but I'd be reluctant to remove Bale as a lot of Spurs' attacking impulses go through him. Cazorla, on the other hand, is playing rather deep and I don't think he's in the same league as the others unfortunately - but he does offer better fixtures.

It'll be interesting, I'll have a look at the stats of both Mata and Silva to see which one offers the better potential.

Otherwise, happy with how things are going.

Today Bale was a ghost on the left wing, spent most of the game tracking back trying to mop up after vert left acres of space in behind. I'm looking forward to BAE returning from injury. Silva's key passes today were off the chart, Mata's set piece delivery is so dangerous though. If I had to rank them in fantasy terms it would be.

      Mata
      Silva
      Bale
      Cazorla.

I think Bale can provide explosive returns, where Silva is more consistent. Overall, id not put much between them come end of season. Same as last season.

I still like Bale the best of all four. Goals are king in FPL because it's so hard to get bonus without them and I believe he carries the biggest goal threat. I rank them Bale, Mata, Silva, Cazorla.

bale will get you a fair amount of 2's imo but can be devestating its such a close call on him but 1 goal in 4 or 5 i think is no where near enough for a premium goal scoring mid so he went last week for tony v

i see cazorla as a sorta silva returns kinda guy with the only problem the players who he's passing to not having great form maybe now with podolski and giroud finding their feet its cazorla who you should keep and give the welshman the boot

He is playing in the in Saudi Arabia (i think) in mid week then there is the Villa game at the weekend, then a must win Champs league game a few days later against madrid.

In comparison Tevez doesn't play for Argentina these days and went off earliest today, coupled with Balotelli being rested, and his prolific record against Villa, I really think Aguero will start on the bench.

I fully agree he is the top striker, that is why he will not play.

So Suarez is starting to look like the FPL prospect we all thought he was going to be at the start of last year. I think the only possible way to bring him in would be Ivan > Rafael, Bale > Walcott & Ba >Suarez.

Wouldn't do it for a hit but maybe spread it out over a couple of weeks?

Liverpool fan, so I say this with some bias.

Suarez has being better then RVP so far *this* (explanation point!) season.

At United, RVP is getting great service. He also creates.

Suarez is the spark, engine and finisher of all things in Liverpool's attack. He even tracks back to boot.

He may not be as clinical, but he has a spark of genius around him. And madness.

I'm sure RVP will finish with more goals, but that won't make him the best player automatically. (For some it will though)

Why would'nt we be happy with him? I reckon the kind of player RVP is, he would struggle in our current team. Poor supply and he'd want to get on his bike taking on whole defenses on his lonesome.

At least Arsenal created some chances for him 😉

There is always going to be players in worse off teams, we still compare them. Two different styles, but at the end of the day, both forwards and comparable.

So your're saying that you can make fair comparisons between (for example) the likes of Rooney/Denis Bergkamp/Del Piero and Huntelaar/Inzaghi/Bent. I disagree, some are more 'strikers', and others 'second strikers'. Both are forwards, but completely different types of player with different jobs, and straightforward comparisons cannot be made. For example, Suarez + Huntelaar is much better than Suarez + Suarez, or Huntelaar + Huntelaar.

I get your point, and making straightforward comparisons in a game based on individuals is difficult, but at the end of the day they all play on a field of grass and like most people in every career are rated on a basis of performance to date and potential.

Obviously in some contexts, a player with particular attributes who may be a "lesser" player will be the better option for the team.

The scary thing about RVP is he doesn't even need to be the engine or the spark. He simply scores when he wants and doesn't even need to be in a game to suddenly do something spectacular. Suarez needs to run around like a headless chicken and shoot 5 times before he gets anywhere near the target most times. And the other thing is RVP has more to his game. He can cross and he can hold up the ball and his positioning is next to none.

I won't bore you any further though about why he is better than Suarez. 😀

Both players clearly have aspects they do better then the other, RVP finishing, passes and set pieces etc. Suarez dribbling and quickness.

        And Suarez ain't a glass cannon 😉

Funny enough, Internationally Suarez is the more successful to date.

I should stress, I think *this* season so far Suarez has being better.

In his own category of player, I think Suarez has done best. However RVP doesn't fall in to this category, so it is not possible to make a fair comparison.

I've gone for Tremmel, since if he's still playing has favourable home matches when Bego doesn't in GW21 and 23...

Like I said before this week began, it was a season defining week for me... my team was set up and primed for a good score this week... and it didn't... so I have to change it...

Lambert assist just doesn't cut it... Ba just hasn't done it, Pienaar just wasn't involved enough... I feel it was the right time...

Lack of Arsenal is a problem for me... I want Walcott.

You could always get Giroud for Arsenal cover when Suarez gets his suspension. Obviously doesn't sound that appealing but he's up front for Arsenal every game and he's gathering form. Personally I don't really want to go near Suarez but may live to regret it. But I think I can live with it.
