Introducing TotelFootball

Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announce that we’ve struck a deal with TotelFootball, initially as a new game for our Champions League coverage from this point on.

TotelFootball is a Fantasy football game that covers the Premier League, the top leagues in Europe and the Champions League and gives you the opportunity to place a stake on your team selection, with the chance to win cash prizes.

We’ve struck a deal to give our community up to £100 in free bets for those who fancy registering an account and having a dip. When you register your team via this link, TotelFootball will match any initial deposit you make in your account, up to a value of £100.

Due to the “problems” suffered by the official Champions League game this season, we’ve been searching for a new weekly game option that would enable us to keep interest in our coverage of the tournament. TotalFootball not only enables our community to play a Fantasy game based on the Champions League, you can also register an account and play their Premier League game week-to-week. They’ve got strong existing community in place and we’ve been playing the game for a few weeks behind the scenes.

How Does it Work?

The Champions League game runs every matchday, so there’s a Tuesday and a Wednesday game every round.

You’ll need to register your team before the matchday commences. TotelFootball only includes the 7.45 Champions League kick-offs (so the early kick-offs are omitted) giving you plenty of time to submit your teams each matchday.

There’s no budget for selecting your squad, just pick the starting XI and subs bench that you think will score the most points in a matchday’s round of fixtures. You must select within a 4-4-2 formation with your subs for each position replacing any player in your starting XI who doesn’t play.

You can pick two players per club, although you are permitted to pick more, with a -4 points “quota penalty” applied each time. This is kind of like the extra transfer penalty applied in Fantasy Premier League, only this is applied when you break the two player per team rule.

Placing your Stake & Winning Prizes

Once you have your team selected, you then place your stake money. The amount of stake you invest affects the amount of winnings you claim should your team be amongst the to 10% in the final rankings.

The stake money put in by all the managers entered will create the prize pot.

Your team will accumulate prize points depending on how high up you finish in the final rankings.

1st – 100 points per £1 stake invested
2nd -5th – 20 points per £1 stake invested
6th-10th 10 points per £1 stake invested
11th-20th 5 points per £1 stake invested
21st-40th – 3 points per £1 stake invested
41st – Remaining entries – 2 points per £1 stake invested

The prize pool is then divided by the total points collected by the winning managers to discover the dividend paid out per point. Each winning manager will then be paid out the per point dividend x total points accumulated.

For example:
A total prize pool is £25,000 with a total of 5,000 points accumulated by all winning managers. This will result in a payout per point of £5.00.

Payout scenarios:
You finish 1st having invested £1 on team entry, your payout will be £500.
You finish 1st having invested £10 on team entry, your payout will be £5,000.
You finish 4th having invested £10 on team entry, your payout will be £1,000.
You finish 36th having invested £100 on team entry, your payout will be £1,500.

As mentioned, if you sign up a new account with Totel Football today, they will match your initial deposit up to £100.

We’ll be publishing our usual Champions League Preview early next week to help with your Totel Football selections for Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches.

Finally a reminder that TotelFootball is only available to those aged over 18 and over and, if you’re going to take up this offer and play, please gamble responsibly.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

My team has 7 players that lots of others have now got. Not sure if this is good or bad.

    Jaasi (21%)
    Ivanovic (28%)
    Baines (24%)
    Mata (18%)
    Nolan (22%)
    Fellaini (36%)
    Berbatov (15%)

I've tried going for differentials but it's never worked.

      It's a good thing.

It's great to have differentials that are picking up points as well but the fact that most people own them mean that most people rate them and that's generally because they are the best value options.

    Federici
    Baines Cameron Nelsen
    Cazorla Bale Michu Maloney
    RVP © Tevez Berba
    Subs: Foster Demel Clyne Britton
    +2.0 in the bank, 2FTs

Many are bailing on Caz, Bale, Michu, and Tevez, but I think I want to give them another week.

    Options I’m looking at:
    A. Foster to Mignolet
    B. Clyne to Cuellar
    C. Cazorla to Silva
    D. Tevez to Suarez

C & D are very popular moves, but I want to give Caz this week in the derby game, and I think Tevez could tear Villa up. Suarez also has that looming suspension. A/B are unspectacular moves, but they give me a player preparing for the DGW, and I’ll still have 2 transfers next week to get out Caz/Bale/Michu/Tevez if necessary.

    Thoughts anyone?
    Cheers guys

I'd wait for City to click before doing C. They've been struggling badly and I'm positive Caz will shine against a team like Spurs...

      D looks the right move.
I took Tevez out as I got fed up of him being taken off for Dzeko to score all the points. Suarez is playing out of his skin and guaranteed 90 mins, pity he has that yellow card hanging over him but I still think its worth it

The DGW is pretty unattractive to be honest.

Sunderland isn't that great going forward...I'll definitely be monitoring AJ + Fletcher though.

Probably going to end up with 2 DGW defenders (1 from Sunderland, 1 from Reading).

    Begovic
Baines - Rafael - Demel (Clyne, Gibbs)
Bale - Mata - Fellaini - Nolan (Sterling)
    RVP(C) - Berbatov(VC) - Jelavic

Already used 2 FTs doing Crouch - Berba, Barfa - Fellaini.

Tempted to captain Berba, 50 points behind my mini league leader, who plays so safe he probably puts ointment on the RVP(C) button, opinions? Sterling or Nolan? Demel or Clyne?

How have I held on to Gibbs for 5 weeks?

I am on WC currently. For Arsenal coverage I am toying with taking a punt on Theo.

I have Michu as the fifth MF so it shouldn't be a problem for this GW. But being on WC I don't want to discover that Walcott is out for a few weeks after I pick him.

So should I a) go with theo b) switch to Santo or c) ditch Arsenal and go for Mata
