Versus – Rooney and Van Persie

Filed under: Members - Posted by: Paul

As Man United approach an eye-catching run of games which could potentially see Sir Alex Ferguson’s side rack up the Fantasy returns, Wayne Rooney has staked a strong claim for consideration after bagging a brace for the second Gameweek in succession. Rooney’s stock has suffered a significant drop this season due to the arrival of Robin Van Persie but as the campaign unfolds, he’s starting to look a real differential, with many Fantasy managers even considering both forwards for a run of games which sees the Red Devils welcome Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom to Old Trafford, in addition to trips to Swansea and Wigan in the next five:

Which would you rather have over the next few weeks:

    A) Rooney and Snodgrass + 1.3 m

    B) RVP and Sidwell + 0.1 m

[Other options to pair with Rooney include Nolan, Walters, Routledge, Duff, Pienaar, or Lennon].

    Thanks!

    Hailzter says:

    Begovic (Tremmel)
    Rafael, Enrique, O’Brien, (Mc’Cartney, Gorkss)
    Fellaini, Michu, Mata, Gervinho (Sterling)
    Van Persie, Suarez, Ba

I have one free transfer and 1.4m in the bank. Thinking of switching Ba with Tevez, leaving 0.2m in the bank. Or maybe thinking of switching Enrique to Cameron and getting Bale instead of Gervinho leaving 0.1m in the bank. But then I wouldn’t be able to get Tevez. Advice please!

    Mignolet, (Ruddy)
    Enrique, Rafael, Shawcross, (Fonte, Nelson)
Michu, Sterling, Fellaini, Sessegnon -> Bale, (Puncheon)
    RVP, Suarez, Berbs

Got 1 free transfer and 3.1m in the bank.
Bale for Sessengon is what I’m thinking but obviously he’s a doubt.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER GOOD MIDFIELD CHOICES??

Such a small quantity of solid choices this season.
