Sunday delivers two Premier League tussles, with White Hart Lane providing the starting point as Spurs entertain the Swans in the early kick-off. West Ham’s visit to the Hawthorns rounds off the day as the Baggies look to recover from their recent slump which has seen them slip to three consecutive defeats. The team news from the Lane finds Gareth Bale absent as expected. His twanged hamstring keeps his sidelined: Clint Dempsey is likely to line up on the left flank, with Emmanuel Adeabayor in tandem with the in-form Jermain Defoe. The Spurs back four has been shuffled again, with Jan Vertonghen shifting alongside William Gallas and Kyle Naughton drafted in at left-back – Steven Caulker drops to the bench where he’s joined by the returning Scott Parker. The visitors recall Ashley Williams to their defence after he missed the midweeek Capital One Cup win through suspension. Angel Rangel is missing, however, he’s ruled out with a calf injury, opening the way for Dwight Tiendalli to earn a first Premier League start. Itay Shechter drops to the bench as Ki Sung-Yueng is drafted in, which means that Michu is back up front.

    Any news on Bale and Walcott?

    May do Fellaini and Bale >> Mata and Walcott. Have the exact money to do this

      You're not going to get any news on Bale the day they have just played. He was already unlikely to play and you won't know about him this week until Thursday/Friday most likely.

      Theo is a nightmare for injuries and the current contract situation can't be doing much good. I would avoid.

    What do you think of this to get Bale in and improve defence?

    Fellaini Replacement search.. 8.1 for replacement..
    Options
    A) Nolan – Seemed to be playin very deep today. is this gonna be a regular feature or will he be back in the hole for away games?
    B) Yaya – Surprisingly good stats even though he plays deep
    C) Puncheon – Got rid of him last week for Michu .. and not sure if i want so much freed up cash as i dont really wanna use it and a WC is around the corner
    D) Taraabt – 4 yellows, but rotates well with sterling
    E) Lennon – nice fixture but does’nt really explode pointwise

    Pls help.. thanks

      I’m in the same dilemma, have about the same options. Taraabt and Nolan are not very interesting to me with the 4 YCs, considering Christmas rotation might mess up your lineup enough as is. So Yaya, Punch or Lennon for me. Don’t really know where to spend the extra money from Punch.

      So all in all… Lennon? Plays every game as winger for top 4 team with nice fixtures, will surely get some points in the next weeks.

      ALMOST same dilemma, since I have 8.2 Young is an option, but not sure how nailed on he will be during the Christmas period. Seems to be finding some form though, and a big differential.

      Hard to say, but Taraabt and Yaya will be gone most likely for ACON, Nolan...ehh. I'm looking at Pienaar currently but its hard to choose.

      A) Doesn't seem to be as effective without Carroll.
      B) He's grabbed a couple of goals recently but I can't help but feel it's a lucky run, Yaya is a regular 2 pointer.
      C) I'd only bother getting Puncheon if you need the money saved for somewhere else.
      D) It's a punt but it's the one i went for in the same situation as you.
      E) Runs but can't kick.

    Need to raise some cash to Fellaini to Silva. Will probably have to downgrade Baines as 0.9m short. Whos a good defender to replace him with around the 5.5 mark, up until the next WC at least...?

    Me also (will answer Valar in a min). Objectives are (a) to replace Fellaini and (b) get some City attack coverage.

    Which of these options takes your fancy (narrowed it down to 3)

    A. Fellaini to Yaya (free)
    B. Fellaini and Defoe to Taraabt and Tevez (-4)
    C. Fellaini and Defoe to Puncheon and Aguero (-4)

    With B or C I would hand the armband to the City player this weekend.
