Preview Movie – The Hall of Fame

As mentioned in our earlier Christmas message, we’ve got a couple of new content releases coming in the next week or so, with the addition of the Fantasy Football Scout Hall of Fame and the full implementation of the Rate My Team tool.

The first of these can be previewed in the movie below, in which I’m joined by Chris Atkinson, the creator of Rate My Team statistical model and the algorithm behind the Hall of Fame.

What is the Hall of Fame?
In simple terms, this is as ranking system which can be applied to everyone in our Fantasy Premier Leauge mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. The Hall of Fame tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a ranking according to the performances. We have a career table that updates every season and a live table that will be updated using the latest season data, after every Gameweek.

How is my rating calculated?
The “HoF Rating” is based on your points scores from previous FPL seasons, with the latest season weighted the heaviest and each corresponding season weighted at roughly 80% that of the previous season. So, in other words, those who performed best in 2011/12 will receive a bigger HoF Rating boost from those who did best in 2006/07. The “HoF Ranking” even allows for those with missing years, adapting the formula accordingly to allow to rank alongside the veterans of the FPL.

How do I join the Hall of Fame
Simply sign up to our leagues, either the Fantasy Football Scout Classic League (40184-13425), or if you’re a member, the Members Classic League – the code is available on the dashboard of the Members Area.=

How do I find myself in the Hall of Fame?
The search box at the top of the ranking tables allows you to search by surname or by FPL id.

What if I don’t want to be listed?
Either notify us via support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or simply leave the Fantasy Football Scout league and you’ll be removed on the next update.

When does the Hall of Fame get updated?
The Career table is available to all and is updated at the end of each season to display the latest rankings.

The Live version of the Hall of Fame is updated every week to use the latest season data. This version will only be available to our members in the Members Area. If you wish to get access to the live version, you can sign up as a member – our half season membership and membership rates are due to go live on January 1.

When will the Hall of Fame be available?
All being well, we are rolling out the Hall of Fame, together with the full implementation of Rate My Team, for January 1.

Does anyone know what’s going on with Saint’s keepers?

Gazza hasn’t played for a few weeks (has he been injured)

and given how poor Davis has been, why hasn’t Boruc been seen? I know he was under some sort of investigation but I thought that had been resolved. Boruc is shirley better than Davis?

  Gazzaniga has been injured. Boruc did something to put him out of favour (cant remember what) and he didnt impress when given the chance.
  Gazzaniga returned to training last Thursday so we should know who is first choice soon enough.

From GW6 onwards, United have conceded more goals than Southampton.
Considering Ba's form is better and he has looked far more threatening than Berbatov I don't understand the popular Ba > Berbatov transfer.

  And this was still when Cork and Shaw werent playing who seemed to have massively tightened up their defence. In the last 6 gameweeks United have something like 11 goals conceded vs Southamptons 5 IIRC.

        That would have to be the only reason, and as I've said I am not convinced they are as bad as people say. I had Berbatov and ditched after Sunderland at home, best thing I did. One of the worst was ditching Ba a while ago. Maybe I am just scarred.

    Should have known about the Berbatov love here. Why do you see no returns for Ba? United are conceding, Arsenal arent too good at the back and Everton cant keep clean sheets. He also scored vs City and got 6 points away at Stoke. Not to mention the fact Ba is having a good 4-5 shots per game whereas lately Berbatov is lucky to get more than one.
    
    Suit yourselves, I can not see Ba being outscored by Berbatov between now and GW24.

      Absolutely right.
      I understand why you can rate Berb highly, but I also understand the reasons why he hasn't scored in he last seven matches, which fact is more convincing than the historical data on Berb scoring massively on a Boxing Day.
      One word: Ruiz. If he's absent, I see no reason why Ba should be replaced by a deserted ranger Berb.

  You seriously did a big mistake using your free transfer on shipping out Cuellar for Nastastic when you have players like:

  Fellaini suspended
  Cazorla blank
  Demel blank

  I agree with the other reply, never take out a healthy player when you have injured ones.
  Suck it up sunshine, I would just leave it for this game week, the next is only 3 days away.
  If you wanted to take a hit, I don't rate Dempsey you could move him for Bale. Or even drop him down to Taarabt for the next 3 weeks. I wouldn't take Cazorla out .

Dropping Rooney after one bad game is a Manchini response, Fergie has better man management skills than Manchini.

If a united player plays badly out of character or has an off game fergie will play him in and support that player in a preferred position and gives them a chance to boost their confidence. Manchini will punish and relegate to the bench and kick the player when he’s down publicly.

Non Rooney owner, but rest aside I think Rooney will start, dropping or rotating him after a bad game won’t happen unless he’s tired which I don’t think he is.

Would anyone agree with me that if you are considering a punt on fringe players on big teams, the time might be now. I have decided to get rid of Ba, but Berba or Benteke are really not that appealing, really considering Hernandez.

  I'm not a hater, I like him. Had him earlier and it was glorious, I just can't understand why people are ditching the likes of Ba or even Suarez for him.
