FFS Paddy Power Cup – Quarter Final Draw

The Paddy Power Cup has reached the Quarter-Final stages and with our final eight now having qualified for the Fantasy Football Scout Shield at the end of the season, they turn their attentions to their next opponent, on the trail of cup glory.

Former Fantasy Premier League leader Iyad Zahlan and his side, Giavara555, was the name that everyone wanted to avoid but it’s MileHigh who gets the “privilege” of that particular match-up. The sure-fire certainty for the televised tie, MileHigh goes into the weekend sitting in 224 position in the world, just 218 spots behind Iyad, and will fancy his chances of a giant-killing, having enjoyed another climb in Gameweek 19.

JMS was the other high ranked manager in the draw. Now sitting 149th in the world, he will face Mr.KK in last eight, with “ange1range1” taking on “Ricky Smokes lets go” and “Wild Rover” facing “Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad” in a stormy community head-to-head battle.

All ties will be played out over Gameweek 20 this weekend. Good luck to all involved.

3Wild roverVs.Tommy Tynans Left Shin Pad

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Hi all

My defence is on the ropes...

    Guzan (Tremmel)
    Davies Nastasic Clyne (Gorkks) (Shorey)

I'm surviving on those 3 starting defenders at the moment. Can anyone see a change that's worth a hit there? Or should I just leave it again this week. I have a mil to spend. Thanks.

Ta. Thought about that. Dunno if it's worth a hit though, even with a DGW on the horizon.

yeah that is probably the only one that is worth a hit. guaranteed started and a DGW coming up means you should get your 4 points back and will help if mancini decides to drop nastasic.

A question that is surely on a lot of peoples mind:

do you wild card before or after the DGW?

    some considerations:
1 - both WHM and ARS have good fixtures before AND after the dgw (thou WHM better)
2 - are there teams that have a very clear great run of fixtures that will make you want to load up in a wildcard?
3 - January transfer window will surely shake things up at some key teams (liverpool/arsenal/chelsie/newc for the very least - and imagine a team like villa or fullham acquiring an unhappy siggy for example)
    4 - price changes potential
5 - ML tactics - WC early and you revealed your hand

    opinions?

After. Take hits before it to build up your team full of 'em and use the WC after to fix your team. Simples.

but how much clearing is really needed?
WHM fixtures are great and arsenal is not bad either - would you risk bringing players early and them injured/rotated or woudl you just shoot all eth changes on teh week before to make sure you pick teh in form playing players?

I think it's because he is considered past his best like Lampard and Suarez was doing everything up until a few matches ago. There's a lot of plus points (he takes pens, he likes to shoot on sight) but his price tag makes it hard to buy him. If he was 7.5/8.0 he'd be in most teams like Yaya is. He's way better than Yaya as a choice.

Getting rid of Baines is a weight off my shoulders. He just hasn't been producing so I brought in Sagna for him and got Yaya out for Bale all for no hits. I now have this team pretty happyjust need to downgrade Snodgrass.

    afternoon all

I can survive the next week with no changes but wondering if I should dump Sterling and Suarez for Bale and Hernadez/Berba for a 4ph

    Here's the current team:
    Jussi, Bego
    O'Brien, Mertes, Riise, Cuellar, Gorkss
    Michu, Sterling, Carloza, Pienaar, Sess
    RVP, Defoe, Suarez

    OPtions:
    1. Suarez ----> Berba/Hernadez
    2. Suarez + Sterling----> Bale + Hernandez/Berba
    3. Nothing

Certainly would like Bale/Defoe for Reading but think the best option might be nothing this week. Sunderland are looking much better atm.

    Any thoughts?
