Monitor – Marouane Fellaini & Michu

The two most popular midfield options in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, Michu and Marouane Fellaini have stumbled over the last few Gameweeks in terms of attacking returns. Over their last five appearances, Michu has treated his 49% owners to just one goal and a single assist, while Fellaini’s 34% owners have received only one assist, though the Belgian has somewhat redeemed himself by collecting five bonus points in the last two matches.

Nevertheless, their recent lack of form is something of a worry. Although both have mainly been utilised in their usual role in “the hole” for Swansea and Everton respectively of late, Michu has also been fielded as the lone striker, while Fellaini has dropped deep into central midfield on occasion, as highlighted in the second-half of last Monday’s goalless draw at Southampton and Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Bolton. The duo have continued to rack up the transfers in over the last few days, though; Fellaini is third most popular midfielder ahead of next Tuesday evening’s deadline, with over 43,000 FPL managers snapping up his services, while Michu’s bandwagon rolls on relentlessly, with 30,000+ new owners finding a place for the Spaniard in their 15-man squads.

We take a look at each player’s recent form, comparing their displays to previous performances in order to ascertain whether there’s been a reason for a sudden shortage of Fantasy points:

Rate out of 10 (and any suggestion to make it better)
eg keep Cameron at cheapies expense
(0.2m short in having Pog and Mata instead of Punch/Fletcher)

    Mignolet Federici
    Zabaleta Cameron Davies Clyne Harte
    Bale Fellaini Michu Walcott Puncheon
    RvP Suarez Fletcher
    2.4m in bank

Theyre suffering, Parker needs a lot of match fitnesss if theyre going to have some kind of service. Dembele will surely start ahead of Huddlestone and with Dawson/Walker back in theyll be strengthened. Bale is Bale anyways.

In the same quandry. Have Bale. But thinking of getting rid for Mata. Mata is a shining light in the current CFC pantomine show. Whilst Bale continues to flatter to decieve. Both have potentially explosive awqays games coming up. It would come at a 4 point hit though - so might give Bale once more chance.

Is Rudd #1 now, may have only started at weekend as Fa Cup? Also your GK's are worryingly week!

Don't think Bertrand will get much game time but could be a good differential for the few games he plays.

Personaly for me I would have Tevez and Suarez over Aguero and Ba but as I say that's just me.

Overall a pretty strong squad apart from GK's 🙂

Too many rotation risks. I don't like the keeper combo. Wilkinson can be benched with Wilson coming back soon. Bertrand is too much of a risk with Wilkinson in too. Ba's another one in there. Though he should play the Reading game imo.

Tried to be a bit different but not drastically on my WC

    DDG Federici

    Zab Gibbs Davies Onuhoa Cameron

    Walcott Lampard Kebe Michu Bale

    Berb Fletch RVP

    Opinions would be appreciated?

Cant be bothered with the farce of City rotation up top and don't fancy Silva who I believe is the only nailed on.

As for Liverpool it would either be Bale or Gerrard and I have obviously chosen the former.

Will probably bring in Liverpool defender after next 2 fixtures!

Aguero will be nailed on.....I'd be looking to downgrade Gibbs (as they are leaky) and upgrade Berba....just me though!

Liking the DDG pick. Berb is risky with Fulham's free-falling form, not sure I'd go for him.
