Glen Johnson, Jose Enrique and Pepe Reina are all available for Liverpool’s trip to the Emirates on Wednesday. Vincent Kompany is set to be sidelined for around two to three weeks according to David Platt, while City’s defence was dealt another blow by the news that Matija Nastasic is a doubt for tomorrow’s trip to QPR due to a knee problem.

Carlos Cuellar, Danny Rose and Lee Cattermole are unlikely to return for Sunderland’s home clash with Swansea, though Martin O’Neill will assess the trio tomorrow. Seb Bassong and Steven Whittaker are both available for Norwich, bolstering the Canaries’ backline ahead of Tottenham’s visit on Wednesday evening.

Adam Lallana may be involved for Southampton at United, while new boy Vegard Forren could be set for a debut at centre-half. Fabian Delph is a doubt for Villa with the ankle injury that forced him off at Millwall in the FA Cup on Friday evening, though Nathan Baker is expected to return. Harry Redknapp has revealed Shaun Wright-Phillips and Junior Hoilett are doubts for QPR, while Bobby Zamora seems set for a bench spot as he builds up his fitness.

Alan Pardew confirmed earlier that Moussa Sissoko will start for Newcastle against Villa but admitted he has “tough decisions to make elsewhere” as he looks to integrate a number of new signings.

    Problems with the Reading defence:-

    Gunter & Kelly can be rotated - Nobody nailed on
    Shorey & Harte can be rotated - Nobody nailed on
    Morrison, Mariappa & Pearce can be rotated with outside chances of carrico and gorkss - Nobody nailed on

    Any Reading fans about here who can help me out with who is likely to be the most nailed on defender(if any). Also everyone around here thinks pearce but he could be dropped for mirrison and mariappa right?!?!

    Your thoughts please??

      I've got a Reading season ticket and was discussing this dilemma with a few other friends today and the general consensus is that Pearce is by far the most nailed on and the best defender to boot, I'd be very surprised if Pearce was dropped considering Gorks is awful and Morro is just returning. The results have been picking up without Morro in the team, Pearce is the way to go in my opinion.

    lads which team ye prefer? Front 3 of suarez Fletcher and suarez for all 3.
    any changes ye would recomment.
    very little in bank for all 3 teams and still have original WC left for later in season. top 3.5k and over 100 points clear in my mini league so dont need to be chasing points

    Goalkeepers are currently a nightmare. Only Federici is guaranteed starts and is cheap everyone else is so close in price. Hart's out on his own. No one is that sure of a clean sheet, so it's not like getting an expensive GK and a cheaper one. Absolute minefield.
