Deadzone Drafts: FPL Bracketology GW 33-38
With a list of entrants that includes several former Deadzone Draft weekly winners, this first annual (I hope?) tournament is a single elimination competition in which the 64 players listed below will compete to advance toward the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four, and finally, the Championship in GW38. The winning owner will be the man whose player wins that last match against the finalist from the other side of the bracket.
I had to make a few edits (Zep -- you got Arteta in for Berbatov; Pepin, you had no defender so I picked up the highest DGW in your price range, Jagielka) before I used a chunk of my Good Friday whilst my car was being serviced to rank the 64 players by FPL points and then seed them accordingly. 1 plays 16, 8 plays 9, winner of 1-16 plays winner of 8-9, etc. Imagine the lines for now, a more polished version will appear in the next week or so.
Scoring will be simple -- whichever player scores higher advances to the next round/GW and plays on. In case of a tie, the higher ranked (FPL points) player will advance. If one player is benched, his opponent wins in a walkover. I will maybe share this as a spreadsheet before the tournament starts in GW33 so people can track their progress and so I stop eating up half pages with individual posts.
