Lessons I have learned this year...
Pick the team you think will be the team you want for the long haul at the beginning.
Do not take hits unless it is necessary, or will benefit you long term.
Do not use your WC unless it is absolutely necessary, just take an 8pt hit instead.
Always go with your gut on the big decisions, never let anyone/anything change your mind.
It's always better to be lucky than good.
Team Value is overrated, so don't jump on bandwagons unless it's a player you actually want to keep.
I'm sure there are more which I'm forgetting...Open Controls-Start with two cheap GKs, as big teams don't tend to gather a lot of CSs over the first half of the season
