Overall I would say Whittingham but depends on the role you want them to play.
As 1st on the bench Whittingham will be more reliable and will likely hold their place all the way through to the January wildcard and in all likelihood the season.
If you are using them as a shorter terms rotation option with Barkley then Jan may be the way to go and will probably score more points in the short term and potentially make you some money.
I would only get in Jan if you have not too many issues with your squad as you may need to use another transfer prior to January to move him on again if he loses too much game time.Open Controls

That is exactly how I felt last week... I felt my team should have got 100pts this week, but only ended up getting 51... so very disappointed... now I just have no clue...
I'm not sure if I am ready to commit to 3 big hitting defenders long term now the curve is showing signs of changing... it looks like 3 big hitting mids will be necessary now... so I'll likely have to downgrade one of Baines/Evra to upgrade in midfield... but I won't be rushed into the decision, I planned for this so I'm gonna give them a fair chance to return for me...
The one thing that has to change is my bloody awful captain decisions... I have been captaining he guys on form, but just in the wrong weeks...

So actually, it seems like the % itself is more indicative of how lucky/good you are at selecting the right captain in any given week, and not about how good your team is at scoring points in relation to your captain...
Essentially, a higher % score would indicate that you rely too heavily on your captain for a good score, and if you were to get unlucky more often you might find yourself toppling down the ranks...Open Controls

Takes corners, Plays very far forward and gets into good positions, Makes some crazy runs which i cant see the like of Newcastle et all dealing with and is on pens when lamps not on the pitch. Considerin this is his second season and he matched his price tag of 9.5 last year i see no reason not to expect big things at 9 million now that he's settled in the EPL. Finally findin his feet under Mourinho too
