The festive schedule starts to kick in now as we brace ourselves for the first of six sets of fixtures this month. Gameweek 14 gets underway this evening with Tony Pulis’ first home match in charge of Crystal Palace as Sam Allardyce’s Hammers roll up to Selhurst Park:

The new Eagles manager has a tough task on his hands – his side have scored just once in the last five Gameweeks, courtesy of our “Spot the Differential” pick Barry Bannan, though one goal against in the previous three signifies their recent resilience at the back.

Big Sam’s side roll up on the back of a 3-0 home thrashing of Fulham last weekend, which ultimately led to the dismissal of Martin Jol. Having failed to score in four of their six road trips, though, there is a fear tonight’s game has 0-0 written all over it – a result that would send the viewing public to sleep, perhaps, but one that would be widely accepted around these parts, with many anticipating clean sheet returns.

The team news is now in and sees the home side unchanged from Saturday’s trip to Norwich, with Cameron Jerome up top alongside Marouane Chamakh. West Ham make four alterations from the weekend, with Joey O’Brien, Razvan Rat, Ravel Morrison and Carlton Cole replacing Guy Demel, George McCartney, Matt Jarvis and Modibo Maiga.

  Good point, maybe wait for a game or two to see if Lukaku beats Deulofeu to death for not passing to him when wide open in the box first or if things settle down and they find a way for all three to play together.

My other keeper is migs so both Hart and Marshall rotate nicely.

  2nd pair. Migs + Panty are quite expensive as rotating GKs and Marshall covers Migs' poor fixtures well. Kosc also a better option than Santon.

    That was my first pref really. If it makes any difference though, I already have Santon so the second requires two transfers whilst the first is just a straight swap of Boruc to Pants.

      Not brilliantly but not terrible either. Migs for the next two, then Mannone Vs West Ham, Norwich, Everton, Cardiff. Then you're into the Jan wildcard and can change it up. For 4.2 i think it's pretty good considering the money saved. Just a thought.

      I mean I have 104.4 too but 102.3 is what I have if I bought a fully new squad right now. If I still had a million in value on a player but would only get 0.5 of that when selling him then it's not really the true value of my team, unless I keep them forever.

Hi all, any thoughts and opinions on my team are much appreciated. Midfield does look rubbish, granted, but I have had green arrows weekly for a few weeks now. I sometimes fail to comprehend it as well.

    Been avoiding them as I can't decide which one is the most nailed on. I'd prefer to keep RVP if I'm being completely honest. He's too good a player not to come back and until there is a set date or confirmation of a lengthy period out, I will keep.
    
    Perhaps downgrade Terry to a cheapie and then upgrade Januzaj? Bought him in to make some cash and that he's done but without downgrading somewhere, I can't upgrade him proper.

        Yeah that does sound good but just hard getting rid of Ozil. Maybe I should keep it like this and just upgrade Mbiwa to an uber defender and that way if one of Januzaj, Ravel, Brady are benched, I'd have a good enough defence to play 4.

  A City attacker somewhere. Not sure who you can move around though. I'm looking at breaking my Ozil and Ramsey duopoly but Arsenal and those two players just keep on producing so it's hard making the decision as to when to break them up.

      Yup those sound like good moves. The only thing is Walcott. He's so important to Arsenal's style because he's a lot more direct and they need someone to finish off their moves but at the same time Arsenal haven't exactly been struggling without him so its hard to gauge how they will move forward. Its always hard to let go of the best players in the league too.. unless they play for Liverpool.
      
      End of the day I think Ozil + Sess will get less than Walcott + Silva though.

    Like the Sess > Nasri move but I'm targeting Silva in for the Arsenal game, abit of a gamble but he thrives in games like that. Ozil > Walcott to fund it if Walcott looks a starter. Looking to save the FT for GW15 and have 2 for GW16. That's the plan at least.
    
    Looking to get Howard in for Mig as well, but Distin might be a good alternative.
