Suspensions

The Suspension Tightrope – Devilish

The visit of former club Everton proved crucial for all the wrong reasons last night as Wayne Rooney toppled off the Suspension Tightrope. United’s main man delivered no more than a yellow card for his growing legion of Fantasy owners and subsequently earned himself a one-match ban, having picked up five cautions for the campaign:

Rooney now misses Saturday’s home game with Newcastle as David Moyes attempts to recover from the defeat to his former club and with Robin Van Persie still a real doubt, the United boss has plenty of issues up top against the Magpies.

Jonas Olsson is also set for the weekend off as West Brom prepare to welcome Norwich to The Hawthorns. The Baggies centre-half also earned his fifth booking of the season in last night’s home loss to City – an ever-present this term for the midlands outfit, his absence is set to give Diego Lugano or Craig Dawson a rare start alongside Gareth McAuley at centre-half.

West Ham’s Ravel Morrison also sits on the naughty step this weekend as his side head to Anfield. The former United midfielder picked up his fifth yellow for pushing Palace’s Joel Ward in the face in Tuesday evening’s loss at Selhurst Park – his owners will at least be relieved to hear Morrison will receive no further punishment for his behaviour and is available for the Gameweek 16 clash against Sunderland.

Two players clamber onto this week’s Suspension Tightrope after picking up their fourth cautions of the season. The culpable duo in question are Southampton’s Jose Fonte and Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback – if they collect another yellow in the next six Gameweeks, they will trigger the automatic one-match ban. Newcastle’s Mathieu Debuchy now moves onto six bookings after falling foul of the referee’s wrath in last night’s defeat at Swansea.

Elsewhere, Palace winger Yannick Bolasie serves the last of a three-match ban at home to Cardiff this Saturday. In terms of returns, Hull welcome back Curtis Davies for their trip to Swansea after the centre-half missed last night’s 2-0 loss at the Emirates, while West Brom’s Youssouf Mulumbu and United’s Phil Jones are also available for home games against Norwich and Newcastle respectively.

          I think the problem you have is that after 1 good season you started to underestimate how tough it is to get good ranks in FPL and just assumed you would do well again. There's alot of varience in this game and alot of luck is needed. Once you accept that maybe you can enjoy it again. You have been crying alot lately though

      Rooney should outscore him, the real question is will the cheaper mid paired with Rooney keep pace with the higher priced mid that's starting with Lukaku. It might well even out.

      If you get rid of Rooney for Lukaku, chances are good that Rooney will drop in price, and if you swing back around and think you need to pick him back up, then you'll face a good scenario in those regards. Plus, I think Lukaku is due for a couple of hauls coming up. I looked into the future, and while it was a bit fuzzy, I saw Romelu scoring a brace against Arsenal.

    dun get influenced by whether to do rooney->lukaku or not..it really depends on team value and how u going to use it. for some ppl it will be better to have lukaku if they have some areas that need significant upgrades..but for those who have a decent team even with rooney then i tink its better to keep rooney. there is no fixed argument whether is good or bad. for me i m happy to remain keeping rooney at the expense of my defense

    RVP vs Rooney vs Lukaku price tags

    the same way most people picked Rooney as he was and still is cosirerably cheaper than RVP, do u think is worth getting Lukaku who is considerably cheaper than Rooney? do u think Rooney is worth the 3million more?

    i can't how some people are not compeatitive at all

    i am perfectionist and when i do one thing wrong i get frustrated and so far i had such a bad luck

    always trying beat everyone , everyinwhere in everything and i just can't accept loosing

    in real life i am bad looser and often i play everything untill i win even with dirty taktics and with sneaky move

    so , why would i be happy with my pathetic 90k rank when so manny people doing better than me?

    for me my rank is bottom , but i wont give up like crybaby i will keep pushing and try finish in top 10k at least

    it's not like i take fpl serious , i am like this in every single thing i doing

        for example every single player i dont have i wish him red card and minus points , but seems like others ar happy when players wich they dont have scoring

          wishing someone to do badly or well isn't actually going to change the outcome. Sometimes you win more by being supportive of other people and they will in tern be supportive of you and offer you valuable advice. It's doesn't have to be a Win/Lose situation

          I don't like to hear people wishing for the failure of others.

          Nothing wrong with being competitive and striving for your best, but i think it is small-minded to pray for the downfall of others in order for you to do well. Your competition defines your performance.

          What is the point in beating people who are sh!t.
          At the end of the day you're top of a pile of sh!t and where is the pride in that?

          Each GW i hope all my mates in my mini league do well - i just hope i do better.

      Forca, why are you being such a massive "pusssssaaaayy" about this?

      You got the skills to hit sub 2k last season. We are in GW15 or a 38 GW season. There will be DGW opportunities, theres the Jan WC approaching, so much time to turn it around.

      You don't have to be happy with your rank, I just don't think you need to come on here all depressed and talking about it being all over.

      I understand Forca's pain, as I want to win everything that I compete in. I, however, do not ever resort to dirty tactics or sneaky moves. Cheating ruins the integrity of any competition. It's like golfing with a guy who moves the ball around to better set up his next shot. Such crap. Why even play golf if you aren't going to observe the rules? It's just stupid.

    Mignolet;
    Johnson, Koscielny, B.Turner, Shaw;
    Özil, Mata(!), Whittingham, Brady;
    Suárez, Agüero.

    Rudd; Rosenior; Rooney(!), Morrison(!).

    1FT; Nothing in the bank.

    Rooney & Mata ➡ Lukaku & Hazard leaves me with £2.5m for upgrades elsewhere 😕

    Worth it?

      He'll start and get points sooner or later. But every week that you have him and he doesn't start it's a total waste of 9million and you could be getting points elsewhere. Just get rid of him and get Yaya or Hazard. Get Walcott back in when it's obvious he's a part of the first team set up.
