The Big Numbers – Gameweeks 18-20

With the frantic festive period now behind us, we can finally take stock and assess the statistics over the last few matches. Having last looked at the data in Gameweek 17, we have three sets of matches to investigate – Arsenal’s midfield, Tottenham’s attack and United and City’s frontmen are all placed under the microscope this time around:

How confident are people about Eriksen ... is it not a bit early to call it ?

Think Adebayor is probably enough to have for the time being

He is performing very well at the moment and that seemed to have coincided with Sherwood taking over.

We know he is a quality player from his time at Ajax so I am sure he can keep performing at a consistent level.

If I did not need to ditch Negredo this week I would probably get Eriksen or Lallana for Cabaye.

I'm sure when I looked at Negredo's goals he either has not scored away from home or he has only scored once.

I couldn't say for sure one way or another. He is also at risk of rotation with Djeko.

I had strong hopes for him when I brought him in but sadly I have lost faith and he is out of here this week. [knowing my luck I will live to regret it lol.]

Long post alert! I've posted a lot of this information separately before the WC can be used so now that the WC is available I've grouped it all together in one long post. Headings are in caps so you can just read the information you want instead of reading it all. I'm aware this is REALLY long but I'm sure it will be helpful to some people, especially those early wildcarders. If you're not interested please just scroll down, this has taken me a lot of time 🙂

Excellent post mate and thanks for taking the time to make this.

With regards to Sunderland potential for CS, I don't think they will get many and my favourite budget pairing at the moment is Cardiff + Crystal Palace. Although that may change once I see how Ole Gunnar does.

The reason I don't rate SUnderland for CS is they make too many individual mistakes and going by Poyet's after match interview where he was putting them down, I am not sure they will react positively. Saying all that my hunch could be totally wrong. :S

Seeing as how London clubs are doing pretty well this season, what would your London XI be? (Ars, Che, Ful, Cpl, Tot)

Found it difficult to pick anyone at full back for the London side really.

I'd say the North-West team easily has the upper-hand there, in central midfield and up front, but the London side is stronger at centre back and has more options out wide.

9 days until the deadline and an FA Cup match in between. I'm waiting for sure.

The rest he was hinting at could easily be in the cup.

    3-5-2 option
    Gerrard, Oscar, Lallana, Walcott, Silva
    Suarez, Aguero, Hooper

    Or 3-4-3 option
    Walcott, Silva, Oscar, Lallana/Ramsey, Mutch
    Suarez, Aguero, Sturridge

    Both have same defence

Any cash left over with B? I prefer B only for Sterling. Sterling won't get as much time when everyone is fit probably. I like Assaidi as a punt.

What about these for a G.K. pairing Cardiff + Villa

Marshall 4.7 + Guzan 5.1 = 9.8 Gives from GW 23 for those WC later- WBA, NOR, WHM, AVL, HULL, NOR, FUL, eve, STK, wba, CPL, cpl, STK, sun, HUL, CHE .

    Worth considering I think?

    Suarez - Aguero - Berahino

Take the hit if you need to. I personally wouldnt play the WC unless your team is absolutely crap. If you can mend it with a -4. Do it. Save the WC till the end of the window if at all poss.

I'd do it now. Don't see the point in taking hits whilst the WC is there. Most folk are going to be after the same type of players. Therefore, you're going to have this headache every 2-3 days as players you want slowly begin to drift out of your price range.

WOuld you consider any of these for your team if the transfer goes ahead:

    Berbatov to Arsenal
    Falcao to Chelsea

Not sure I would get them in right away but they would be on my watch list and I would fancy both of them to have a run in my team.
