A home clash with Southampton sees Man City heavily backed in this week’s Captain Poll, with three of their options sitting in the top six. Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Wayne Rooney are the three front-runners, though, as we assess your selections for the weekend ahead:

With Sergio Aguero ruled out by injury once again earlier today, we take the top five available for selection in this week’s Captain Poll (Suarez, Rooney, Hazard, Yaya Toure and Edin Dzeko) as our starting point and construct a members table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat.

        Indeed, although you could argue Coleman enjoyed a lot of space (and produced returns) in.the reverse fixture. I'd pick him myself

      Coleman. I don't particularly fancy any of those for a clean sheet and he gives you the best hope of attacking returns. If in doubt I would always go with the premium defender.

    I'll be losing my free transfer if I don't use this week. I think I've decided to ship Gerrard out for fear of him being benched this weekend, not on corners anymore, and if I plan on getting Aguero in I'll have to down grade a midfielder. Which are the best options....

    A. Gerard-----Eriksen (Leaves me enough to do Ivanovich to Demi next week and Lukaku to Aguero after Everton double)

    B. Gerard-----Silva (It would probably just be a punt, as I'd have to downgrade him to get Aguero in).
