Captain Sensible – Gameweek 33

A home clash with Southampton sees Man City heavily backed in this week’s Captain Poll, with three of their options sitting in the top six. Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Wayne Rooney are the three front-runners, though, as we assess your selections for the weekend ahead:

With Sergio Aguero ruled out by injury once again earlier today, we take the top five available for selection in this week’s Captain Poll (Suarez, Rooney, Hazard, Yaya Toure and Edin Dzeko) as our starting point and construct a members table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Flanagan - Coleman - Chester
    Hazard - Yaya - Silva - Nolan
    Suarez - Sturridge - Lukaku

    Adrian - Dann - Bardsley - Sissoko

    I have 2FT's and 0.2 in the bank.. Currently inside the top 5k..
    Any suggestions to be made to my team...??

    Nolan ----> Eriksen.. (feels strange to not bring in a dgw)
    Sturridge ----> Dzeko

    Ill probably keep two for next week and use one!

        2 games. See: http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/suspensions

        Cut off is second sunday of april (13th) inclusive. Since their city fixture is that day, if he getts a caution either this gw or next, he serves a 2 game suspension.

    Am pondering either moving :
    A. Gerrard to Eriksen in anticipation of either a yellow, being benched, and to free up funds for a potential Aguero transfer.

      I'm in almost the same boat and I am strongly considering A. Eriksen has been shite for majority of the season but there is so much potential explosiveness in him and great fixtures. Add in the fact that Gerard might even be on the bench this weekend and you're making the move to fund a future aguero transfer, I think it's a great transfer.

        That's my feeling too. Plus if Gerrard gets a yellow either this fixture or vs City he will reach his 10 card limit and be out two GW. But not having Gerrard has burned me many a time this season so hence the hesitancy...
