The ScoutCast Goes Live

There’s bad news and good news. Maybe. The bad news is that there’s no ScoutCast scheduled for this week. On the flipside, that’s because we’ve decided to take on a new approach which offers a new way to “enjoy” the weekly get-together with myself, Granville and any guests we persuade/cajole into joining us on air.

The ScoutCast is going live.

From next week we will be using Google Hangouts to stream the ScoutCast recording live. You’ll be able to tune in to the session and have the pleasure of seeing Granville and myself in our humble abodes and you’ll be able to interact live with us, during the recording, with Jonty joining us to fire us your questions and reactions.

If you can’t join us on the night, you’ll be able to download or view the ScoutCast Hangout shortly after the recording and, as usual, we’ll be publishing an edited version, in the usual mp3 format as a podcast, on Thursday evenings.

It will take time for us to adjust to this brave new world. The live stream will expose us, warts and all, to you the listener/viewer, but that’s a risk we’re prepared to take to improve interactivity and take the ScoutCast forward. Besides, with my current rank, I’m at rock bottom with nothing to lose.

Jonty will be setting up Hot Topics and a Twitter hashtag and, when our new live comments system is up and running (it’s looking good by the way), we’ll be embedding the live stream in this and you’ll be able to interact with us in real-time.

As well as Jonty’s return, we’ll be trying to bring in special guests on a weekly basis and we’ve already lined up the first victim for the opening show.

We’ll bring you more details on all this in the days to come and, if you want to be kept in the loop and get involved on the night, we recommend that you follow us on Google+ or Twitter to get the latest news and subscribe to our new YouTube channel, where all our ScoutCasts will be published from here on in.

If all goes to plan, we’ll see you, or rather, you’ll being seeing us, next Wednesday evening.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Just remembered we actually still don't know the extent of Yaya's injury

Pellagrini talked post saints match that it was lucky he didn't get another yellow so that he can play against Liverpool. Doubt he'd say that if chance he wasn't fit

Didn't he also say that they'd find out on Monday or Tuesday how serious Yaya's injury was?

If Rooney is actually dead as being reported, which United players are people looking to get for their DGW? Mata seems the obvious choice. Any others?

Kagawa would be a good differential. Started 3 gw's in a row and two returns out of 3.

          Quick one everyone.

Can anyone confirm if Nasri normally starts when Agureo has played prior to his recent injuries.

          Thanks

without kun, nasri is a gem. but with kun fit and playing, its fernandinho will shine more imo based on last 5 nasri and kun plays together
