Fenley Wins FPL Crown

In what was the most tense and nail-biting finish to a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season in memory, Fantasy Football Scout member, Tom Fenley, has prevailed as champion.

Huge congratulations go to Tom on a day which saw him cling to his lead, having gone into the final Gameweek with a 13-point gap between himself and his nearest rival. Tom had that lead pegged by second-placed Borna Gamulin in what was a dramatic final day.

Everton’s clean sheet at Hull, together with bonus points for Daniel Sturridge and Samir Nasri saw Gamulin gain ground but, eventually, Arsenal’s clean sheet and Aaron Ramsey’s goal at Norwich proved decisive as Gamulin’s two Everton defenders were denied bonus points at Hull. When the dust settled, a single point won Tom the FPL crown.

While Fantasy Football Scout community members have won the FPL title on several occasions, Tom’s victory marks the first time that a member has triumphed. We’ll be catching up with Tom very soon to ask him to recall his season, the drama of the final day and just how he used our members area to help him over his campaign.

Again, our congratulations go out to Tom and to all the members of the Fantasy Football Scout community who enjoyed superb FPL campaigns. Special mentions go to Luke Weston, Veronika Solymosi and Eoin Maye who all sealed top ten finishes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Poor finish to the season for me as I ditched Ramsey and benched Mata in favour of Sunday afternoon front seven of TV picks with my lads. Oh well, I had fun shouting a the telly at least.

Final team table for the most attacking team for the season...Chelsea more attacking than Liverpool overall is a surprise...roll on them getting a quality striker as a "pick"

Yep I think poor starts were pretty common round here. I was in 1.6 millionth at the start of gameweek 6 and took a long time to get into even the top 500k. Finally finished 28k which I am pretty pleased with considering.

If only aguero(c) hadn't messed things up last week I was hopeful of a top 20k

Nationalism and Patriotism are for the ignorant and tend to be tools used by the state to control and manipulate the ignorant.

If you look at the mess the country is in just now, it has very little to do with legal/illegal immigration but the state uses this issue to deflect from the real reasons. This allows them to redirect the public anger that should be directed at the government, bankers & multi nationals and instead it gets directed at immigrants, who as I stated earlier have very little to do with our ills.

This is known as manufacturing consent and is very efficient because people tend to believe what they see on the news or read in newspapers and never actually question things or compare new news to old news to see the discrepancies.

Anyway rant over and I am now stepping off my soapbox.

Ibra, would work brilliantly with their attacking mids and also with a mid making late runs into the box (Lampard/Ramires). He's excellent at breaking down the type of defences Chelsea have struggled with as well.

At least we ain't got an early dgw to contend with this season , tbh I'm not sure if these dgws are all they're made out to be , points hits to get players in and then more hits to get them out ?
A good eg for me was Kos , he was always the makeweight around the dgws and he went about his buisness quiet nicely around these Gws ,
sometimes were only ' Running to stand still '

Not preparing well enough in GW37 killing my top 1K chances. When your SGW players fail, you'll see a truer picture.

Are Baps the reason why hits worked out most of the time this season?

        ^^This

        Suarez Sturridge Ramsey Yaya Terry

To a lesser extent Lallana JRod Bony

All kept decent form allowing the "casual" to jump on and stay on

Final Rank 3,442...Wouldn't have achieved it without you guys at FFS...Although could have reached under 500 if I didn't have 2 bad game weeks but thats how the game goes!!

Bit of post-season analysis before I hit the books...

    GW5 - 1,995,996
    GW15 - 615,154
    GW25 - 142,684
    GW35 - 68,541
    GW38 - 24,875

Snuck into the top 25k on the last day of the season, my 2nd best ever finish and comfortably my best points tally. Won my mini-league and my H2H league/cup comfortably. If I hadn't picked such a terrible team in GW1 who knows what might have been?

Thanks for all the advice from people on here. Wish I'd listened to Dogba and kept Ramsey in the last week though...

For me, Hazard tailed off massively ever since he got that hattrick, he wasn't the same dangerous force afterwards for some reason, could have been due to chelsea's form / tactics.

How much do you think Shaw will cost next season if he moves to United for 27 million?
