Sunday presents two further Premier League encounters with a variety of Fantasy heavy-hitters on show.

Events begin at Anfield, with Liverpool starting life without Luis Suarez with an encounter against a Southampton side ravaged by a summer exodus. It’s a fascinating scenario that’s set to feature an-all start case of assets, including Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling – players burdened by big Fantasy ownership and expectation. The Saints, meanwhile, arrive on Merseyside looking to gel quickly after a flurry of new arrivals under the guidance of new boss, Ronald Koeman.

The day concludes at St James’ Park, as Newcastle host champions City. Manuel Pellegrini will likely field a much-changed side to the XI that suffered a Community Shield reverse against Arsenal. Even so, Fantasy investment in the City ranks has been tempered, with Yaya Toure remaining the top target, finding his way into 20% of Fantasy Premier League squads. Like Southampton, Newcastle present us with an array of new signings to assess, making Sunday a vital opportunity to scout talent.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Eriksen was one I had to drop in midfield because I wanted others more. His got a lot of potential, but Sterling was tremendous for Liverpool today. Played way more advanced than Sturridge most of the game.

    Jeez, for the first time EVER playing FPL, I don't think I'm going to make a transfer after GW1. Usually my team is in an utter shambles by now.

      Same as last year. In the back at first, but more advanced after 1-0. Fernando came on and Yaya played in front of him and Fernadinho.

    Jesus does anyone have patience. unless there is any obvious choices,Just keep your team, I only got 50 points with Costa and Cahill still to go. However, I did sub Eriksen for Cabella, as both on free kicks with Cabella cheaper. Next week I will do another sub. Just build your points up and close the fpl tab and keep your team.Tired of hearing people taking 8 point hits and people playing wildcards. Your team will come good. Does anyone agree with me!

      I use to take too many hits but last two years halted my trigger finger and had my best finishes 4k and 6k!!

    If i downgrade Debuchy to Hutton and upgrade El Ahmadi to Siggerdson, this will give me a front 8 of:

    Mata / Hazard / Sterling / Ramsey / Siggerdson

    Costa / Rooney / Bojan

    Is that move worth the -4 points? Im already 52 points with Hazard and Cost yet to play....
