The ScoutCast – Episode 137 – Precious

Every little point counts. With the mini-league gap between myself and co-host Granville widening by the week, my Mancunian friend can ill-afford to throw points aside in his bid to follow up last season’s victorious campaign.

In and around the usual ScoutCast regulars, Granville recalls the dilemma that saw him get away with benching Cesc Fabregas to the tune of just a single point. Will that prove costly?

We then join forces to run the rule over the accelerating Di Maria bandwagon, assess Rooney’s re-positioning and decide whether those steering away from Ramsey Street need to re-programme their sat navs.

Treasure this nonsense via this link or cling to these worldly goods via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Repost guys, would appreciate your feedback:

    RMWCT

    Heaton (McCarthy)
    Clyne/Duff/Naylor (Wilson/Hutton)
    Siggy/Sterling/Fab/ADM (Boyd)
    Costa/Kun/Pelle

Good team imo. Defence is cheap but should be fine. You can get Gilks over McCarthy 🙂

I dont like to follow trend 😀
Maybe Tiote over Boyd? Better to have backup keeper, might help in long run. I always keep one Burnley spot available in my team for Sir Arfield 😛

Not as an fpl prospect but do people think diaby will start getting regular playing time if he stays fit? Think he looked okay in the southampton game considering how long he has been out. Could be a help to the arsenal defence if he hits some form.

    cue diaby injury...

    1. rickardinho

He won't stay fit much longer. And now that they're out of the League Cup he probably won't play another game until the FA Cup starts in January, unless he gets a few minutes in one of the easier PL games once or twice.

Surprised that so many people are so quick to jump off Begovic.

He's only conceded more than 1 once this season, so with a bit more luck he would have had 2-3 CS's instead of only 1. Fixtures are great too, and you probably won't have a double-up scenario as you would with Forster and a SOU defender. Stoke had the 4th best Home defense last season for a reason, and I'm not gonna give up on him until he's gone 10 games without producing the goods. Much more urgent needs elsewhere anyways.

Howdy DZ'ers! Hope everyone is well! I think I'm fairly set on my team going in to the weekend but wouldn't mind another opinion (... or two). I had 2 FTs and have already used one in Caulker → Bertrand giving me:

    Foster
    Clyne - Bertrand - Pieters
Fabregas - Sterling - Di Maria (vc) - Siggy
    Rooney - Costa (C) - Welbeck

    Krul - PVA - Naylor - JWP

    1 FT, 0.8M

Hows my bench order? Right in playing Pieters over PVA or Naylor? Use my other FT in getting rid of JWP or bench him and worry about that later?

I'd save and then to Krul to Heaton next week, rotates nicely with Foster. JWP not an immediate problem

Stoke have been disappointing but think this is last chance saloon for them. If I can't play him with Newcastle at home then I shouldn't be owning him lol. I feel like I'm going to be benching some defender points regardless of who I choose!

yes that might well happen, but tbh that has happened in all GWs so far. Away CS more common than home CS and big teams always conceding, DEF is tough to choose this season

It's a tough one, but probably not for a hit. Ramsey's underlying stats are still good and I for one will be sticking with him this weekend against a Spurs defence that has been far from solid. His late runs from deep are still a huge part of his game.

Is there a better transfer than Ade > Pelle this week?

Not that it matters but I am keeping the faith with Ramsey, so I'm unsure of having both him and Welbeck next week away to Chelsea...

Yeah, it's easy to say that, but from what I've actually seen of him he looks disinterested...

The derby affect could change that, but I'm not convinced it will be enough...

Pelle has great fixtures for 6 weeks, so in 6 weeks, I think he will comfortably outscore Ade...

He could also roam around aimlessly, refusing to move for any pass 1 foot away from him, run constantly with his head down, react as if the shot that ended up in row Z was close, get 3 cm off the floor when jumping for headers, genrally be about 3 seconds behind the thought process of his team mates, smile endlessly after mis controlling simple passes and be caught off side 23 times

i forgot- also constantly ignoring team mates in better positions and not making the simple runs that great players like Lamella and Eriksen predict him to make forcing them to turn round and play the ball sideways or backwards

I plan to get Baines in on WC gameweek 8 when fixtures turn good for Everton,
Want Baines, Cahill and rotate el cheapo for majority of season. Chelsea will tighten up and I think Cahill safest bet of Chelski back 4.

I considered it but I've decided to stick with Rooney this week. 2FT will give me more options next week and I think Aguero will get ~60mins against Hull. (Yes I know that's enough time for him to score a brace) 😉

Hi.. Just finished reading some stats and wonder who to play .. A or B ?

A - Naismith .. Merseyside derby. It should be goalfest, but it could be a tight draw too. Also, a chance of red card.

B - Siggy .. Just scored midweek. Usually do well on away game.

Statistically, Naismith has had more chances to score. But Siggy is always dangerous.

Go to FPL then goto the fantasyscout league and goto those in 62nd place on 322 points
Then look at the teams, there are at least five identicl to my own that have played the exact same transfers since the start.
Obviously very smart to read my blog 😀

Next week i will have to keep my transfers secrtet, as copying my team player for player wasnt really the idea

    Well done though lads

To be fair they were very brave to wildcard GW3 everyone on here saying i didnt need to play it, yet they did the same and had to rely on me not making any last minute changes.
Will do that nex week , have given them a decent start so they can have no complaints

Thinking of keeping Naismith for the Merseyside derby, and not getting in Pelle for him. Would be for a hit as well.

May as well stick with Naismith this week. I'd probably take the hit but I'm a risk-taker and have done over 65 transfers in each of the last two seasons 😆

I can see loads of gaols in this fixture tbh...who's coming in for you? Was set on Pelle for a hit but then was writing a Punts article bit on Lukaku and the fixture...not so sure anymore.

        And I'm not a risk taker? 😆 😛

Maybe 'cause he left Chelsea. 🙂 He's already scored twice and picked up an assist this season. Top option for this week, imo. Thepuntmaster thinks so too 🙂

Hmm, he may do well this week but I think Europa League will hurt Everton a bit. It wouldn't even surprise me if he was occasionally rotated.
