The ScoutCast – Episode 141 – Dither

Flabbergasted by my reluctance to tinker and the decision to throw away my Gameweek 9 transfer, Granville can’t wait to get stuck into me in the ScoutCast studio.

My co-host roughs me up over my cowardice, then slaps me around for the fact that I appeared to hoodwink the entire world over Diego Costa’s fitness. We then go on to appraise the merits of Ed Sheeran, check in on Neil Warnock’s latest gripes and weigh up the Sterling vs Sanchez vs Hazard debate. Meanwhile, Kieran Trippier’s cross count without an assist for Granville hits 66 and counting. Who’s dithering now, eh Granville?

Dilly-dally over this episode via this link or dawdle in its direction via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

What should I do with this bunch?

    Krul (Foster)
    Baines - Chambers - Bertrand - (Davies) - (Wisdom)
    Sterling - Siggy - ADM - Fabregas - (Marney)
Diego Costa - Pelle - Welbeck

I've got two FTs and £2.1m itb, cheers in advance!

I say it looks mental, but they're the 3 I will have this week (+ Sterling). I wouldn't sell Tadic though if I had him.

Hmmm, otherwise it's either Tadic or Sterling for Haz or Alexis - surely Sterling is more important that Tadic? I have Pelle

Really tricky. Southampton still gave 2 great fixtures and Tadic is on pens. If you have Pelle then maybe it is worth the risk.

So, one of Fabs or Sterling is going to have to make way. If not now for Sanchez, then in a couple of weeks for Walcott. Which would you keep?

I think I'd fear not having Sterling the most. Cesc can tap me with assist jabs, but I'd fear a big hook from Sterling with the greater goal threat. I reckon I could (eventually) match Cesc's 6/7 pts a week with one of Chelsea's defenders too, saving 3m.

    Sound about right?

I answered on the last post. I agree. Goals are just so huge and with his current stats I don't see how Cesc gets much more than 5 on the year.

Fab the assist machine in a top class team v Sterling in a poor side with their best striker out and a guy who doesn't pass EVER (ball)

Amazed you are getting shot of Fab over Sterling

      1. Twisted Saltergater
        • 14 Years
        9 years, 6 months ago

Appreciate your strong opinion on this. While Fabregas is averaging an assist almost every game, Sterling is only behind Sanchez in terms of goal threat.. despite the problems Liverpool have been having. Fabregas is carrying next to no goal threat due to playing alongside Matic.

Once Sturridge is back, Sterling is always going carry a goal and assist threat and therefore have the ability to score explosively. I don't think I could captain Fabregas unless Matic and Ramires were to play behind him.

It's a very tricky decision but I'd prefer Hazard, Sterling and Sanchez/Walcott. All can score goals.

Fair enough, I jus,t think Liverpool are awful at the mo and Chelsea look unbeatable

TBH I have. Hazard but Fab is hurting Me week in week out, I don't think Sterling will ever be explosive (finishing is poor) just my option but good luck with what you decide.

Assuming you're asking as a Sterling owner? He's one of, if not the, key midfielders with a goal threat. I'm finding it really hard selling him despite all the transfers out this week.

It's a funny one with Newcastle's fortunes turning around so quickly. Despite the history, I can't see Liverpool scoring more than once. Perhaps the flood gates will open now for Balotelli?

Guys, would like to bring in Sanchez, Aguero and a decent keeper but wondering which looks best to prioritise:

    a) Sterling and Ivanovic - Sanchez and Chambers
    b) Welbeck and ADM - Aguero and Amalfitano
    c) Welbeck, ADM and Ivanovic - Aguero, Mane and Chambers (4 point hit)
    d) Begovic - De Gea

    I have 2FT and 0.5 ITB

    Begovic, McCarthy

    Ivanovic, Baines, Clyne, Duff, Moore

    ADM, Fabregas, Sterling, Sigurdsson, Boyd

    Costa, Pelle, Welbeck
