This week’s ScoutCast is a throwback – a return to the days when Granville moaned about his team of red flags and names like Robin van Persie and Yaya Toure dominated our thinking.

Granville and I slip into such subject matter like it’s a pair of old slippers, whilst assessing the Aguero fall-out, the Dzeko option, Ivanovic versus “Dave” Azpi and how I’ve modelled my Fantasy Football management style on Roy Hodgson.

We roll out the regulars and lament the demise of the ScoutCast team – eliminated in the opening round of our own cup competition. Some things never change.

      Tough call.

      On the one hand he must be tempted to start him. On the other, it's not like he hasn't been doing the business with his second half cameos!

      Brave move to get him in I think, I wish you well.

      Even if he starts this week he'll probably be rotated over christmas. Even the games he does start, probably won't pass the 70 min mark. I know his goal min ratio means he'll end up scoring in his 70 mins but it doesn't work that way

      Yep, I'm punting. Was going to a few weeks back but Austin made more sense, the Aguero injury means I can go heavy in midfield with YYT, Sanchez, Costa, Siggy, Eriksen and take the punt on Cisse.

        Worth a gamble. Arsenal & Man U away, neither oozing with confidence at the back. Getting good results at home in a team who are really turning it around.

      I got rid of siggy for Yaya, and although I reckon it's going to be a good move, I already miss siggy with those fixtures coming up! I'd keep in siggy out of those two, not super convinced by mirallas in comparison

    It's so frustrating being maxed out on Chelsea and needing 1 or 2 defenders.

    I would love to bring in 1 or 2 ManCity defenders but it is vital they start this weekend to give me a full XI and none of their defenders can guarantee that.

    Finally decided to sell aguero

    Wasn't sure who to get but I would still have no idea this time tomorrow night so decided to avoid the drop and get lukaku

        Lukaku does well every time I get him. I think I had him for just around more than 10 game weeks last year but managed to get around 8-10 goals out of him

    Just thinking about pros/cons of a 2nd hit esp for a def

    foster
    clichy naylor yun --- chetser chamber
    Yaya siggy eriksen sanchez hazard
    Rooney kane --- austin

    Thinking of keeping team as it or chambers >> terry (-4....making it -8) for the week

    Cons
    - need Chelsea to keep a cs just to break even
    - I could get away with my current def next gw as yun/naylor/clichy have good fixtures. So can reassess def in gw 18 but there's the case that I would have new issues then to sort out
    - saving the ft means I have have 2m itb so can use to upgrade eriksen/kane if needed

    Pros:
    - chambers should loose his place making him deadwood
    - Dont want deadwood for festive season
    - yun should concede..so assume he scores 2 point...Chelsea I would think have 50 percent chance of keeping a cs on average terry will score 4 points..so 2 point hit. Plus terry could always get a goal
    - terry should play most games during the festive season
    - chambers dropping in value

      Probably just about worth the risk imo - Yun almost certain to concede, even 2 points is generous (though I hope he doesn't, I have him too), chelsea odds-on for a clean sheet

      Out of interest what do you plan to do with clichy, and do you think there is even a small chance he won't be benched saturday? Keep him hoping he will start more games than not over this golden run of fixtures? (real headache for me - have him and need him to even field 10 men this week..)

      Very close. Azpi bonus point magnet, but Terry scores ~4 goals per season. My personal opinion is Terry but not sure it`s correct.

    Evening lads. Have to take my first hit of the season because of 4 suspensions + Aguero injury, so it will definitely be -4.

    Also got a little dilemma and would like some advice:

    A) Take another hit and do Chambers -> Ivanovic/Zabaleta. By doing this I also have a probable starter (Boyd) as backup on the bench if one of my players for some reason is not playing this GW.
    B) Start Boyd (SOT) and play with "no players" on the bench.

    I'm in a bit of a pickle... Have 1 FT and this mess:

    Forster / McCarthy

    Dummett / Naylor / *Chambers* / Azpilicueta / Caulker

    *Fabregas* / Sanchez / Siggy / Downing / Boyd

    *Aguero* / Welbeck / Bony

    Options I've considered include:

    1) Aguero, Fabregas, Downing -> Dzeko, Hazard, Yaya (-8)

    2) Aguero, Boyd -> Sakho/?Jovetic, Hazard (-4)

    3) Aguero -> Costa/Rooney/RVP

    4) Aguero, Welbeck -> Rooney/Costa, Dzeko

    Any other thoughts/advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!
