The Big Numbers – Gameweek 17

QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    1) Foster to Panti as FT
    2) Alcaraz to Oshea/ Vergini/ Clark
    3) Save the transfer

And if possible why? The team as in below with no defenders on the bench

    Foster
    Baines Ivan Azpi
    Hazard Alexis YYT Downing
    Austin Kane RVP
    bench> Boydinho, Alcaraz, Yun
    0,8 ITB

    Thanks lads...

I like 2, however, are you cool with giving Baines yet another chance? I don't think I am. I'll be shipping for Chelsea def, I think. You could free up a lot of cash by going Baines -> O'shea.

      1. FPL Daniel
        • 14 Years
        9 years, 4 months ago

He has Stk at home, after that I could go with City defender. I think that will be my next transfer. The problem with Alcaraz transfer is that I don't know who will be rested and when he will play. I think I am gonna need defender next week, when SAFC have worse fixture that this week.

        Hmmm.. Dilemma dillemmas.

So mainly people saying sort out the dead wood this time of the year?

        1. FPLEL
          • 9 Years
          9 years, 4 months ago

Yeah I see what you're saying. I didn't really consider that. It may be a waste of a move to transfer a nailed player this time of year. Perhaps go with A, at least you know it won't be a waste.

          1. FPL Daniel
            • 14 Years
            9 years, 4 months ago

that is true. But goalkeeper transfer seems like wasted one. Maybe wait till WC to change keeper. And maybe Guzan will be better option instead of Panti, now after reassessing the fixtures .

            Hmmm....
Conclusion will wait for more news and press conferences. Maybe there will be some clue will and who can be rested

            Cheers all

Yeah, I remember....They called him sick note. I have very little sympathy when managers bemoan their luck with some of the players they choose to buy, or stick hold of. Some just don't have the physical make up to be able to stay relatively injury free for any amount of time. They can either stick with them or buy players made out of old WW1 battleships like Mourinho does..

I won't get fooled by ADM's stats above. Only one of the shots was not a pot shot, meaning that those stats are very Taarabt-esque.
Still, I suppose ADM is a better fantasy prospect than Taarabt ever was.

    A) Rotate with Hamer, which gives TOT, hul, WBA, AVL, STK next five
    B) Swap Adrian with Szceshny, who has good fix' next four
    C) Stick with Adrian until GW 23, when fix' become real nasty.

I don't think Silva will repeat his latest big points haul over Xmas.
There must have been six or seven Man City players camped around the Palace penalty box.
The finishing strike could have come from any of them.

Nasri, Yaya, Milner, Navas, Lampard could just as easily bag a couple.

Tough one. Will Downing and West Ham be able to keep up the good form? I think Sigurdsson will be steady at this rate over the season, ending up at 4-6 goals and 12-15 assists. I'm not sure Downing will do that, but form suggests otherwise.

I'll give you that he's good - but he's not the best.

I wouldn't mind keeping both, but I think Silva will outscore Siggy.

We have to wait for news. It was just a knock so shouldnt be long. No obvious replacement at that price, and given he gets 0s anway, probably best to hold.

Looking back the games for Everton and Baines have been tougher than most thought. The only one of those that really should have been a shoe-in for a cleanie was Hull at home. The others weren't that great; Spurs(A), City(A), QPR(H) (they may be bad but they still score goals), Southampton (A).

The upcoming fixtures are better: Stoke(H), Newc(A), Hull(A), City(H), WB(H), Cry(A), L'pool(H). Good chances for defensive returns there and probably a pen in the derby.
