The ScoutCast Episode 149 – Rushed

With gremlins in the machine, the clock was ticking on this week’s ScoutCast as Granville and I are hurried into service.

Displaying all the urgency and determination of Ade Akinfenwa at the end of season buffet, we waste no time in driving through the ScoutCast regulars, whilst weighing the merits of when to swoop for a certain “essential” Argentine.

While this week’s low fat episode may come as a treat for some, we’re working towards a return to the full fat, high cholesterol live Hangout from next week. Keep ‘em peeled for news on that.

For now, grab this rapid recording via this link or stream the swiftness via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I think it's crazy seeing Kane top of the (C) poll. Hazard and Aguero much better options IMO. Almost no talk of Hazard and I'm probably gonna go with him.

      I'm leaning this way.

But it's statistically better to go with the masses of the two available options are about the same.
You risk falling behind a lot of people if kane explodes

I currently have a midfield of Boyd - Sanchez - Haz - Silva - Colback to accomodate for a foward line of Costa - Aguero - Kane.

Stick, or do Costa > Giroud, Silva > Fab, Colback > Chadli?

    Hi guys,

I'm on a WC. I wanted to keep Downing this week and then ditch next as his fixtures turn ugly, but if I did him to Moses this week, I could also do the following:

    Hamer > Krul
    Wasileski > Wisdom
    Albrighton > JWP

So is it worth swapping Downing v HUL for Moses v lei, so I can save a transfer next week and improve my 3 weakest players to better, more nailed options? It seems like a net gain?

    1. Man Chest Hair United
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 3 months ago

If you like the other option going forward then yes. Downing won't go huge and then you don't have to waste transfers later

      1. Black Knights
        • 12 Years
        9 years, 3 months ago

Thanks. That's my thinking, benched Downing last week and will be ditching after this week anyway. Sure he could score v Hull, but so could Moses, and it'll save me a transfer and give me 3 better options to give a bit more balance.

        Thanks again!

        From the FPL site:

        Wildcards

A Wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a Gameweek. You can use up to 2 a season.

Playing a wildcard will remove any points deductions from transfers already made in the same Gameweek.

One wildcard can be played at any time. The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (1 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (7 Feb 11:30); as the January wildcard isn't available until after the Gameweek 20 deadline, the earliest these transfers will be active is Gameweek 21.

When playing a Wildcard, any saved free transfers will be lost. You will be back to the usual 1 free transfer the following Gameweek.
