Wanted to do this transfer last week but got talked out of it....

Sturridge -> Costa ......... still an unneeded vanity transfer? Studge next two are tough and hes not in great form.....

    Thoughts? Cheers.

What on earth do you mean, im torn on the decision.....

Was in all likeliness talked out of it last week rightfully. Sturridge could of scored easily.

I ignored the advice last week and took a hit to do Boyd to Puncheon. That didn't work out so well. But I did it. Balls out man that is the only way

              -Benching Mane was always logical
-honestly I'd have encouraged that Studge>Costa move last week.
              We move on eh?

But I didn't bench mane. I played him. Hence the balls out and going with gut.

I really think Liverpool will struggle in the next two. So as long as you haven't got more important transfers to make, I'd do it.

Hard to ignore Giroud only way is to get Terry/Ivan/Haz if you went down that road,
Kane/Aguero/Giroud owner here and I can't see who to make way for Costa?
Aguero it seems but I don't think his season is over yet, Kane is the ultimate enabler so that leaves Giroud... The mans on fire and you can't drop a player on form and in a hot streak so maybe for me Terry....

Seems like a straightforward move to me . I mean the main reason to own an expensive player is they are a regular captaincy option . If you can't see yourself captaining Sturridge over the next couple of weeks he is not worth keeping .

2 FT's and 0.5 in the bank. Any advice? Obviously Foster is the most pressing concern.

    Foster
Van Arnholt - Koscielny - Clyne
    Hazard - Sanchez - Eriksen - Coutinho
    Aguero - Kane - Austin

    Hamer - Boyd - Wollshcied - N.Taylor

Yeah, I've been looking at various replacements and that one seems the most logical. In terms of price and form.

do we think Rambo will have license to roam so far up the pitch in the PL or was it special case because they desperately needed 2 goals?

also is he back to nailed on now with only PL and FA Cup left? he played 90 vs West Ham..

Ignore the nailed on part, Arsenal could rotate at will. I think we'll see both Ramsey and Walcott start against Newcastle.

There are just so many people sugesting him, but I'm not convinced bringing in either Ramsey or Siggy, but I need to get some differentials in as I'm falling behind in my ML.

Ramsey is probably gonna get a holding role if he starts, due to the fact that Arsenal have far too many attacking opions.

Siggy has proven that he can assist and score goals and I have some faith in him, but now that bony is gone, he is struggeling to perform as good as we know he can be.

                  • 13 Years
                  9 years, 1 month ago

Atleast you know Siggy will start the games. He might not assist as much, but can still score and looked very threatening vs liverpool with 5 shots. Ramsey isn't a sure starter, so based on that i think Siggy should outscore him. You already have Mane who would probably be other best option. Not really many other standout options

Think Hurrikane's comment is more about those that did Austin > Giroud, before the DGW was announced (still might be the best move, btw, just don't know how many would've made that move knowing about the DGW).

I'm on a policy of only hit if absolutely necessary. and I've taken 3. Suspensions to Rooney & Costa compounded with injuries to Ramsey/Kompany/Aguero all meant I needed 2 big hitters quickly. Two of those hits got me big green arrows as I'd reacted quickly to selling high ownership players.

Absolutely necessary is leaving a 9m+ player on the bench first time round I had 1ft with Roo/Rambo out and second time 1ft with Costa/Adm out. that is some serious cash that can be reallocated

Getting a bit of Deja Vu re Aguero....Seems he is becoming similar to RVP two years ago. Like Aguero this year he went off the boil quite a lot in the second half of the season but nobody wanted to quite believe it.....meanwhile Benteke outscored him by a distance...mmmm...

      wait for DGWs

if you own any City or Everton players you should probably wait as well.

that being said, it's late in the season so generally there's no need to rush and you may as well wait until the last day anyways (training injuries are also a possibility)

I asked this earlier today and didn't get any response, but I'm genuinely baffled why George Boyd has fallen in price this round?

    7,000 transfers in
    1,000 transfers out

Am I missing something? How does the price rise/fall thing work again??

    1. Twisted Saltergater
      • 14 Years
      9 years, 1 month ago

I think he dropped Saturday night due to all the transfers out on Saturday morning being part of last GW transfer stats. See his game week history.

Still, I don't think it is consistent. Guzan has had 104,000 net transfers out in the past 8 GWs and not dropped even 0.1m from 4.7m despite starting the game at 4.5m.

Just to explain, Gnu, 4/1 means 1 chance in 5 that an event will occur and 4 parts in 5 that it won't. Hence 20% that it will and 80% that it won't.

Well we had our bad run in February, so hopefully we can push on again now. We're home to Middlesbrough on Saturday lunchtime, that is a massive game. We have a decent run in after that, so everything crossed!
