Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 32

Our duel with Paddy this week has us investing faith in Chelsea’s stand-in striker, Arsenal’s Chilean livewire and Manchester United’s Spanish playmaker.

With Diego Costa out of contention for the time being, it falls upon Loic Remy to shoulder the goal scoring responsibility for Chelsea. The French marksman has taken up the mantle in the Blues’ last two fixtures, bagging the winners against Hull City and Stoke City. Couple this with the fact that Jose Mourinho’s men have recorded shut-outs in five of their last nine home clashes and we’re willing to take up Paddy’s 9/1 odds on Remy to score two or more goals and Chelsea to keep a clean sheet and part with our first £3.

Our second, and favourite, wager of the week takes us across the capital to North London. Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez rifled a 20-yard strike past the flailing arms of Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet last Gameweek and looks primed to keep Burnley’s rearguard busy when the Gunners travel to Turf Moor this evening. Considering that the Clarets have netted just one goal in their previous five outings, we’re swayed by Paddy’s 12/1 offer on Sanchez to score two ore more goals and Arsenal to keep a clean sheet, parting with another £4.

The Manchester derby is the destination of our final bet, with Red Devils midfielder Juan Mata piquing our interest in light of his brace against Liverpool in Gameweek 30. Manchester City’s defence has been breached in every one of their last seven road matches, while United have recorded three shut-outs in their last five. All things considered, Paddy’s 10/1 offer on Mata to score and Manchester United to keep a clean sheet looks like a fine source of investment for our remaining £3.

    I had a really bad gw last week and my rival made up 50 points on me and he is now only 20 pts behind me. Need some good advice here! Not sure which transfer to make. Team is:

    Ospina
    Terry Lescott Clyne
    Hazard (c) Eriksen Coutinho Silva (Sinclair)
    Aguero Kane (Perez)

    Krul Schlupp Naughton

    Thinking either
    A) Naughton -> Ivanovic
    B) Sinclair -> Henderson
    C) Perez -> Remy

    On C at the moment
    Thank you 🙂

        Hmm yeah just been reading up on Costa. Remy could do the business. Can do B another time or do Eriksen -> Hendo for the DGW

    Jordon Ibe. Hmm...

    Probably means there's no chance of Sterling at wing back as well.

    Are there any WHam fans who can put my mind at rest, and confirm that the BBC have incorrectly identified James Collins as being out for the rest of the season with a dislocated shoulder, when they actually mean James Tomkins, as per FF website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32179965

    Literally can't decide what to do this week as trying to plan ahead.

    Benteke + Austin > Murray + Remy (-4)? Gives me 11 next week.

    Captain?

    A) Kane
    B) Haz
    C) Giroud
    D) Agüero

    Also...worth shipping Agüero for Remy?

        My armband's on Kane, but am tempted by a last minute swap to Aguero for a differential. Spurs were shocking at Burnley and that worries me. Surely Aguero can't blank again (?!).
